Chapter 1498
Chapter 1498
After hearing Edmund's words, Tony burst out laughing, "You had to spend three months thinking of such a method?"
"Puff!" Molly couldn't help but chuckle.
According to Sean, if one wanted to escape from the research base, there was really no need to spend three months thinking of a method.
Edmund blushed and argued angrily, "That's not the whole story! I had worked out other ways, but... they didn't work, okay?"
When it came to the end, he became less confident.
"Oh," Tony sneered but restrained himself from rolling his eyes. He ridiculed coldly, "Then you should have said it took three days, and you would look smart!”
"You!" Edmund was furious, flushing.
Tony put on an I'm-just-telling-the-truth expression.
He was so offensive.
Sean had a smile in his eyes for a brief moment. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
"Well, Tony, stop it," Molly said, trying to ease the quarrel.
After asking Tony to stop talking, she continued, "Mr. Herring, we've learned your situation, so..."
Then she raised her thin brows and said, "We're so willing to cooperate with you. What's your decision?"
If Edmund was willing to cooperate, that would be a good thing. They could at least get the drug information he had taken out from the base.
At the thought of that, Molly and Sean exchanged a glance and then patiently waited for him to reply.
Only then did Edmund realize what had happened. God, he had unconsciously revealed all he knew after hearing Sean's information-seeking words.
He patted his head in frustration and muttered, "How stupid! How come I revealed everything?"
But he had to admit that the information Sean got was more complete than he imagined.
Sean even knew more than he, who he had previously worked in the research base, did.
They seemed really brilliant.
After thinking for a long time, Edmund curled his lips and said with embarrassment, "If I say I refuse, you won't agree, will you?"
"No, we won't," Sean answered directly with justification.
Since they had brought him here, the two parties would reach a cooperation deal.
Then Edmund rolled his eyes subconsciously. "Why did you have to ask then?"
He didn't have any other choice, did he?
Seeing that he was speechless and helpless, Molly chuckled and slowly said, "Then hope we have a pleasant cooperation, Mr. Herring."
Edmund smiled drily, "Have a pleasant cooperation."
"During this period, we'll make sure you're safe. We'll hide your identity and never let the base find you," Molly promised.
"I've chosen to cooperate with you, so I'll trust you," Edmund answered.
Molly smiled and stopped talking.
Since he had gotten the answer, Sean didn't want to stay here anymore.
He turned and said to Tony, "You get him settled in. If there's anything, report to me in time."
"Yes, sir," Tony said.
"Mr. Herring, if you want anything, just tell Tony. He'll try his best to satisfy your needs."
As she spoke, Molly signaled to Tony with her eyes. "Don't laugh at him anymore, Tony! He's one of us now."
"Yes, ma'am."
Tony smiled with embarrassment.
Actually, he didn't laugh at him but just said the truth.
"Let's go back," Sean said to Molly.
"Okay," Molly smiled.
After watching the couple leave, Tony finally turned and went to arrange a place for Edmund.
