Chapter 136
Chapter 136
Heinz Jones frowned. It was natural for a child to need a mother, but he had forgotten about that.
Ernest was still young. Although he was very sensible, obedient, and self sufficient, he was still a five-
year-old child.
Heinz leaned back casually, but closed his dark eyes. His long eyelashes cast a deep shadow on the
corner of his eyes.
When the butler saw this scene, he was even more respectful. "I'm sorry, sir. I've made a slip of the
tongue."
"It's none of your business!" Heinz suddenly opened his eyes and looked at the butler. He then said in
a deep voice, "Ernest is still a child after all."
"Yes." The butler nodded. "The young master himself didn't say anything."
"You may leave," Heinz said.
"Yes." Butler Holland left.
Lester came in from outside. When he saw the President, Heinz, he said respectfully, "President, are
we going to the company now?"
"Yes!" Heinz stood up and walked out.
Lester hurriedly followed.
Heinz got into the car. When he came out of the villa, he said, "Lester, how is Lorenzo recently?"
Lester was stunned and said, "President, Lorenzo was taken into Hermione's house and has been
locked up. He was not seen again."
"Did you send someone to keep an eye on him?" Heinz asked in a deep voice.
Lester immediately understood what was going on and said, "President, I'll arrange for someone to
keep an eye on him right away."
"Lorenzo has just been locked up. After all, it's not a long-term solution." Heinz said calmly, "A person
like him will not learn with just being locked up. You have to pay close attention to his movements."
"Yes." Lester replied.
Lester thought, "The president's intention is to protect Miss Smith, isn't it?"
When he arrived at the company, Lester immediately called to arrange for someone to pay attention to
this matter. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Who would have thought that something had happened before the arrangement was even set up?
In the newspaper office.
When Hermione Lowe arrived, she saw that Grace Smith's seat was empty.
She immediately said to Chuck Dorris, "Has Grace arrive yet?"
"Not yet, Editor Lowe." Chuck replied.
"She's not here yet?" Hermione looked at her position in surprise. "She usually arrives at this time."
"Yeah, I don't know what's going on today. Maybe there's a traffic jam." Chuck said.
"Alright." Hermione nodded. "When she comes in later, please ask her to come here and meet me."
"Okay, Editor Lowe." Chuck said.
Hermione entered editor's room.
It was half past nine. She came out and went for Grace again. "Is Grace still not here?"
"Yeah, Editor Lowe, she hasn't come yet!" Chuck was also anxious. "How about let me give her a call
and ask about the situation?"
"Okay." Hermione nodded and said, "Tell Grace that I have something important to discuss with her."
Chuck quickly nodded and made a phone call. As soon as he dialed the number, a mechanical female
voice came from the other side. "I'm sorry, the phone number you dialled has been turned off."
"Editor Lowe, Grace's phone was turned off." Chuck was very surprised. "Normally, she won't turn off
the phone at this time. Why is it turned off now?"
Hermione immediately took out her mobile phone and dialed Grace's number. Sure enough, it was
turned off.
"Did something happen to her?" Hermione asked in surprise, "Do you have her address?"
"No." Chuck shook his head. "Editor Lowe, how about we wait a little longer?"
Hermione nodded. "Okay, I'll wait a little longer. But if she doesn't show up at noon, call her family and
ask about it." "I will." Chuck answered.
In the dark factory room.
"Ah-" Suddenly, there was a woman's scream, "Let me go.¹'
"Let you go?" A vicious male voice which was full of hatred and evil sounded. "I was so miserable
because of you. You and that woman made me lose everything and limited my freedom. Why should I
live like a humiliated bug in the dark while you're all in glory now?"
"Lorenzo Chen!" Grace heard his voice.
Sure enough, it was him.
Grace had sent her child off, and took a public bus to the newspaper office. When she got off the bus
and was about to walk into the newspaper office, her mouth was covered by a rag.
A strong scent of chemicals came, and she fainted before she could see clearly who was the one who
was doing this to her.
"Yes, it's me." Lorenzo came out from behind her and looked down at Grace who was tied to a chair.
He said with an evil smile, "I got you here so that I can exchange you for some money."
Grace was very annoyed. She didn't expect that she would be kidnapped from the streets in broad
daylight, and no one realized it.
She took a deep breath and forced herself to be calm.
She didn't panic. She looked at Lorenzo and said coldly, "Those who kidnap have two reasons. Either
for wealth or hatred. You just said that it is because of money."
"Not just for the money." Lorenzo gnashed his teeth and smiled coldly. He stared at her delicate and
beautiful face, and there was more greed in his eyes. He said frankly, "When I was the editor- inchief, I
hinted at you to be my woman, but you refused."
Grace was furious when she heard that. "You've mistaken me for someone else. I'm not the kind of
woman you think I am."
"Oh, aren't the women are all the same?" Lorenzo sneered and said very ironically, "Women are all
sluts."
Grace bit her lips, and her hands were tied behind her. She couldn't break free at all. With just a little
force, the rope cut into her skin.
It hurt badly.
She just frowned and said coldly, "Lorenzo, you'd better let me go."
"In your dreams!" Lorenzo refused directly with a vicious smile. He stepped forward and grabbed her
chin. "Look at your face. It's so beautiful."
"Let me go." Grace snapped, "Take your dirty hands away."
"What a cruel woman." Lorenzo grabbed her chin with great force, and his eyes were full of hatred. "I
fell because of you, and Lilian and I were discovered by Hermione —"
"You reap what you sow." Grace replied.
"Slap!" Lorenzo slapped Grace on the face. "Shut up."
The slap on her face made Grace's hair scatter around messily.
Her small face had a red palm print on it, which was so clear to the eye.
Lorenzo looked down at her. Her beautiful face was really moving.
His hand stretched out again and fell on her neck.
Grace's eyes were burning with anger, and there was hatred in her cold eyes. "Get your hand off me,
Lorenzo."
"I will not take it away." Lorenzo sneered and said, "Not only that, but I'm going to touch you. I will teach
you a lesson."
"Don't touch me." Grace refused.
"Damned woman." Lorenzo gnashed his teeth and shouted, "The more arrogant and unruly you are,
the more challenged I feel. Don't you know all men like to conquer women?"
"Get out." Grace snapped, "If you dare touch me, I won't let you go."
"Don't worry. I'll touch you again when I receive the money. Then I'll throw a defiled you back to Heinz
and humiliate him." He smiled evilly and pinched her arm.
"Bastard!" Grace snapped.
"It seems that you still haven't learnt your lesson." Lorenzo was angry, and a hint of malice flashed in
his eyes. He suddenly grabbed Grace's clothes and tore them off.
