True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 242

Chapter 242

The nurse stepped forward and gently nudged Grace.

She did not move.

"Miss Smith." The nurse nudged her again and then shouted, "Wake up, Miss Smith."

Still no response.

Heinz started to feel anxious. He lifted the quilt and was about to get out of the bed.

The nurse immediately stopped him. "Mr. Jones, please don't move."

Heinz ignored her order and got off the bed forcibly. He went straight to Grace's bed and touched her

face as he shouted gently, "Grace Smith? Grace Smith?"

But she didn't move at all. She wouldn't wake up no matter how hard he tried.

"Call the doctor now!" Heinz growled.

At this moment, Lester had come in with the doctor.

The doctor stepped forward quickly and gave Grace a preliminary examination. Then, he drew her

blood again.

She remained unconscious throughout all this.

Heinz's facial expression changed. He looked at the doctor and asked in a deep voice, "What's going

on?"

"Regarding this matter, Mr. Jones." The doctor said, "Please stay calm."

"How can I not be worried?" Heinz's eyes became colder. "Is she poisoned?"

"I've made a preliminary judgment that the snake venom has entered Miss Smith's nerves and caused

nerve poisoning."

"How do you cure it then?"

"Let's administer the medicine first."

Heinz frowned. When he looked at Grace again, she was lying there with a calm expression on her

face. However, she was so deeply asleep she wouldn't wake up at all.

He couldn't help but ask the doctor, "Why do I feel fine and yet her condition has worsened?"

"As you said, she might have swallowed some of the venom when she was sucking it out from your

wound," the doctor explained.

"Why is she unconscious then?" he asked.

"Either she'd been poisoned, or it's from fatigue." The doctor explained, "Her heartbeat accelerated too

much. It jumped to more than 110 beats per minute. Although she might feel a little uncomfortable, she

should be able to bear it. She must have been very exhausted to have fallen asleep in such a

condition."

Heinz's facial expression changed.

"Mr. Jones, did Miss Smith do any physical activities before this?" the doctor asked.

Heinz's facial expression changed again. It seemed a little unnatural. "She was a little tired before.

What I'm worried about now is how badly is she affected by the venom?"

"I can't answer until the test results come out," The doctor informed him seriously. "Please don't worry."

These words only served to make Heinz even more worried.

He looked at the doctor and said sternly, "Examine her well and treat her at all cost."

"I will!" the doctor gave him his word.

After injecting the medicine, Grace laid on the bed. Heinz stared at her without even blinking, and didn't

move for a long time.

Heinz sat on the edge of her bed and watched her as she took her drip.

He held her hand and stared at her quietly.

The room was very quiet, and it was raining heavily outside.

Her breathing was rapid. It sounded heavy in one moment and relaxed the next moment.

Heinz held her hand tightly with two hands and checked her pulse, and found that her pulse was

beating rapidly.

She must have been deeply affected.

This woman had left him utterly shocked.

A short while later, the doctor came in again and announced the examination results to him. "Mr. Jones, Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Miss Smith was indeed poisoned with snake venom."

"Is it serious?"

"Based on the current situation, it's not too serious. Well need to take another blood test later and

monitor her further."

Hearing this, Heinz frowned and said angrily, "Please treat her as soon as possible."

"Don't worry. It's not a big deal. Well try our best." The doctor said, "Fortunately, you're all right. Your

blood index is almost normal."

Heinz did not care about his own condition and said, "I'm fine, but why is her condition so bad?"

"Everyone's body reacts differently." The doctor explained again, "If you are in good health, maybe

nothing will happen. Her case is special. Her body might be particularly sensitive to snake venom. It

has slightly affected her nervous system."

Heinz's eyes darkened as he said, "Please cure her."

After he finished speaking, he said nothing more.

The whole night, Heinz couldn't rest at all. He just waited guietly with a frown on his face.

At five o'clock in the morning.

Grace opened her eyes.

Her eyes were greeted with a dazzling white light. She squeezed them shut, stretched, and opened her

eyes again.

Immediately, even before her vision could clear, she felt a black shadow press down on her face and

locked on her lips.

"Oh-"

Before she could continue her words, she felt a familiar feeling.

It was Heinz. He held her chin with his hand. His hands then wandered down and he held her tightly

with his powerful arms.

Grace felt his anxiousness. It was filled with a kind of peculiar power, and it was very gentle.

He searched for her lips so desperately, as if he was afraid of losing her.

She was in an unconscious state for a while. When she came back to her senses, Heinz was already

holding her in his arms and whispering her name.

"Grace... Grace...Oh, Grace..."

He cried out repeatedly for countless times.

"What's wrong with you?" Grace was startled so she moved her face a little to take a look at him. She

frowned in confusion. "What happened? Why aren't lying down? Aren't you poisoned?"

"Grace." He hugged her tightly again. His arms trembled a little, as if he was afraid of losing something.

"Heinz, are you out of your mind?" she burst into laughter. "Let go of me. You're depriving me of oxygen

as soon as I woke up. My heart is beating so fast. It's all because of you."

"What's wrong?" He immediately became nervous and guickly sat up straight. He looked at her and

examined her from top to bottom. "How are you feeling? Are you out of breath?"

"Yes, I am out of breath. I'm still panicking as if I'm going to die. It's all because of you." She replied.

Grace thought that she couldn't breathe smoothly because of his kiss.

"Doctor!" Heinz shouted loudly, and immediately there was a commotion at the door.

Lester's voice could be heard. "President, I've already called for the doctor."

As soon as Grace woke up, even while the president was kissing her, he had already called for a

doctor.

"Heinz, why do I feel a kind of fear as if I'm going to die?" Her heart was beating fast, and it was not

over yet.

After hearing her words, Heinz became even more anxious.

"Why hasn't the doctor come yet?" He shouted.

"He's here." The doctor followed him into the room.

"Hurry up. Have a look at her," Heinz ordered.

"Are you awake?" The doctor looked at Grace. "How do you feel?"

"I feel that my heart beat is accelerating. It's becoming a little suffocating," Grace said.

"Does your tongue feel numbed?" The doctor immediately took out the stethoscope to check on her

pulse.

She nodded. "My whole mouth feels numb."

She felt numb after being kissed by Heinz for so long.

"Has it been like this all the time?" The doctor asked very clearly.

Grace blushed and shook her head. "No, it started just recently."

The doctor carefully examined her lips, which were red and swollen.

He frowned and asked, "Did you two kiss just now?"
