Chapter 258
Chapter 258
Grace blanked for a moment. When she looked into his eyes, there was a glimmer of evil.
She blinked as she understood what he meant.
A goodbye kiss.
She smiled and said, "If it's a goodbye kiss, I don't think it's a good idea."
He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Why?"
"I'm afraid that you would feel constrained." Grace said bluntly, "A kiss is fine, but what if you turn
wild?"
"You haven't even tried. Don't you think it's too arbitrary of you to say that?" he said gently with a calm
expression.
"Well. Actually... I'm worried that I'm the one who'd act recklessly," she said.
"Grace," He felt awkward by her confession.
"Yes," her eyes curled into a smile.
She was beaming, but he wasn't.
While looking at each other, he suddenly softened his gaze and said, "Well, forget about it. It seems
that we'll have to do it next time for our own good."
However, he was a little reluctant to let her go.
Grace nodded, "I'm getting off now. Get back to work. I'll give you a call if there's anything."
She got out of the car with her bag, and so did
Heinz.
He grabbed her hand, pulled her gently, and held her in his arms.
Grace took a deep breath and said, "I'm a little dirty.
I need to have my shower."
"I don't mind," he said.
After a pause, she said, "Thanks."
Finally, he let go of her.
"Go up," he told her.
Grace nodded. When she was about to leave, she thought for a moment and stopped. "Heinz, although This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
we've discussed it before, I just want to confirm again, is it true that you've never went to bed with
another woman other than your exgirlfriend?"
Heinz looked at her and said, "Not exactly true."
Grace's heart skipped a beat. Feeling agitated, she asked, "Who?"
"You," he answered.
"Anyone else besides me?" she asked again.
He thought of the stranger that night, shook his head and denied, "No."
Grace's expectation turned into disappointment.
Either he didn't remember it, or he was not willing to admit it.
"Okay, thanks for answering me." She turned around and left. Her back was stiff.
Heinz's eyes turned cold. He did not understand why Grace was so fixated in this matter. To him, it's all
in the past and there was no need to mention it again.
Back at the office.
As soon as Heinz got out of the car, he was halted by Marry.
When Heinz saw Marry, he frowned and didn't even look at her.
Marry's face looked very pale. It seemed that she had been discharged from the hospital.
"Mr. Jones," Marry called out loudly.
He threw her a cold glance, not saying a word.
"I have a secret about Grace to share with you," she said in a low voice.
Heinz narrowed his eyes and looked at her sharply, "What are you trying to say?"
"Can we talk alone?" Marry said.
Heinz glanced at Lester who was standing next to him.
Being vigilant, Lester was trying to remind Heinz not to fall into her trap.
Heinz ignored him and followed Marry to the side of the building.
He was curious to know what nonsense she could come up with.
When Marry saw him coming behind her, she slowed down. Knowing that he wanted to hear her out,
she smiled slightly. Her eyebrow arches looked even sharper now.
"Stop playing tricks. If you have something to say, just say it," Heinz warned.
"You haven't been to Grace's house, have you?" she asked.
"What does that have to do with you?" he said.
Marry answered, "That's because Grace has a secret that she is hiding from you."
Heinz's eyes grew colder.
Marry smiled proudly and said, "She got pregnant and gave birth to an unknown illegitimate child. And
now she's still raising the kid. Of course she wouldn't tell you. She's afraid that you'd dump her if you
knew."
Heinz's heart sank. The news came as a bombshell, his face stiffened with shock.
He narrowed his eyes and locked onto Marry's smug face, and said coldly, "Say it again."
"That's true." Marry said, "You can ask her."
Heinz lowered his head and stared at her with even colder eyes. "Marry Smith, I'm telling you, this is
not the first time that you hurt Grace with malicious intentions."
"Mr. Jones, if you don't believe me, you can go to her house now to check if there's really a child." She
shrugged and said again, "You just sent her home, if you go back now, you might catch her red
handed."
Heinz sneered and said, "Do you think I'll believe you?"
"Believe it or not, I don't care. I'll go first." Marry chuckled and turned to leave.
Heinz's face darkened.
He turned around and headed back to his car.
Lester rushed over. Seeing Heinz's livid face, he immediately said, "President, nothing good would
come out from that woman's mouth. Don't take her seriously."
"Go back to Emerald Apartment," Heinz said in a deep voice.
"Yes." Not knowing what happened, Lester turned back the car towards the direction of Grace's house.
They drove back to Emerald Apartment.
When they arrived at the entrance, Heinz said, "Take me to Grace's house."
"Yes." Lester led him upstairs.
When they arrived at the door, Lester pointed at the door and said, "This is Miss Smith's house."
"Wait for me downstairs," he ordered.
"Yes." Lester turned around and took the elevator down.
Heinz stood at the door, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.
When she heard the knocking on the door, Grace had just blow dried her hair and was wearing
pajamas. She answered the door.
A tall figure came in and almost knocked her down.
"Heinz?" Grace responded in astonishment.
As soon as he entered the house, he saw a child's slippers laying next to the door. The size of the
slippers was roughly the same as that of Ernest. That means the child was around the same age as
Ernest.
He stared at the shoes in shock.
Grace had no idea what had happened. Why did he suddenly come back and barged into her house?
She closed the door, then asked while facing his back, "Why are you here again?"
As she spoke, he suddenly turned his head and stared at her fiercely.
Grace was startled and instantly had a bad feeling. She stammered, "What... what's wrong?"
Pointing at the slippers on the ground, Heinz asked in a low voice, "Whose shoes are these?"
Panic crossed her eyes. Has he found out?
But she quickly calmed down. Looking at him, she said, "My son."
"So you really did have a child," he said.
Grace was confused, "How did you find out?"
Heinz lowered his head and looked at her coldly. "You approached me even when you have a child.
And I'd have to accept him because I've had no choice. Is that what you planned?"
