Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 606

Chapter 606

Ava had already woken up. Perhaps the little guy downstairs had made too much noise and woke her

up.

Frank walked over and held her waist. "Did Harper wake you up?"

The little guy's happy laughter could be heard in the room. Ava asked, "No, I've had enough sleep. Is

he playing something fun downstairs? He sounds so happy."

Frank replied, "I just bought him some toys."

Ava looked at him. Frank explained, "It's not that he doesn't like your toys. His preferences are more

special."

Ava could not help but ask, "What does he like? I asked him yesterday. He looked like he wanted to

say something. However, he didn't say anything in the end. I can't figure out his preferences."

Frank wanted to say that all of them could not guess his preferences. He sighed and replied, "He likes

the robot vacuum. In the future, you can buy him things that can rotate."

"Things that can rotate. He likes things that can rotate." Ava raised her chin in confusion. Why would

Harper like things that could rotate?

Frank had a helpless expression as he explained, "It's probably the aftereffects of sitting on the robot

vacuum since he was young."

Ava thought to herself that she would make sure her babies would not have access to it after she gave

birth.

The living room was filled with the sounds of Harper playing with the spinning top. The commotion

lasted for some time. Frank felt that he had made a mistake. He looked apologetically at Ava beside

him. "I didn't know he could play with it for so long."

"It's fine. It's lively. I don't think he's noisy. I'm planning to get him a different type next time." As she

spoke, she raised her phone and showed it to Frank. She was not lying. She had been browsing on the

online shopping platform. The cart page showed she had added several types of cool spinning tops.

Frank knew she doted on their nephew. Frank said, "I'll teach him how to play with the plane tomorrow."

He thought about teaching Harper when Ava was not taking her afternoon nap.

Inside the living room. Grace rubbed her temples. Her head was also buzzing from the noise. "Harper,

let's rest for a while. Come over and have some fruits."

Harper was having fun. He was unwilling to stop playing. "No, it's fun."

Grace was about to persuade Harper further when Edward and Rose came in from the door. Seeing

that his parents had arrived, the little guy proudly showed off the spinning top his uncle had bought.

"Daddy, Mommy, look."

"Who bought this? So cool. Let Mommy play with it." Rose squatted down and prepared to play with

her son. Harper was afraid that his mother did not know how to play. He squatted down at the side and

reached out his cute little hand to guide Rose. He pulled the line and pressed the button.

Rose successfully spun the top under her son's command. Seeing the bright smiles on the mother and

son, Edward stood at the side and smiled.

What happened next made his smile deepen. Rose also felt that it was fun. She asked Grace, "This toy

is not bad. It's cool. Did you buy it?"

Grace did not dare to snatch the credit. "Your brother bought it. There's still a pile over there."

Rose turned around and glanced at the toys in the corner. At that moment, Frank and Ava had just

come downstairs. Rose smiled and replied, "Why didn't he buy me one too? I can compete with

Harper."

There was silence in the living room.

Edward was indulgent when it came to Rose. He would do whatever his wife liked. He had decided. "I'll

go buy it now."

Rose quickly tugged at Edward's pants. She stopped him. "I was just joking. There's no need. I'll take

turns to play with Harper. Shall we, Harper?"

Harper agreed immediately. "Yes, sure."

The living room only resumed its peace momentarily. It was soon filled with screams and laughter.

Rose's return had made the atmosphere livelier. The commotion was louder than before. Edward was

grinning. However, Frank was regretful. He would never have thought Rose would enjoy playing with a

kid's toy.

Ava was beside him. Seeing that she was also smiling, his face did not darken. He leaned closer and

asked, "I bought a lot of fruits. What do you want to eat?"

Ava replied, "I'm fine with anything. How about a little bit of each?"

Frank got up from the sofa. However, Grace had already stood up. "I'll go. You guys sit and chat."

Ava said sweetly, "Thank you, Mom."

Rose also asked for some. Frank replied, "I didn't forget you. I bought enough." He had bought double

of what he usually bought. He had prepared for his nephew and sister. He even spent 100 dollars to

avoid Hackett.

Ava was half-lying on the sofa. She read the message from Sherri. She turned and said to Frank,

"Sherri told me to call her if I'm about to deliver. She will help me to deliver."

Frank nodded. He felt that it was a good idea. Hackett's wife had also helped Rose and Natalie. Ava

would not be so nervous if her acquaintance helped her deliver. "Yes, it's up to you."

Edward spoke. He had been silent all this while. No one expected him to speak. He suggested

sincerely, "Arrange for another doctor."

Hearing that, the people present looked puzzled. They did not know what Edward meant. Edward saw

everyone's confused expressions. He took the initiative to explain. "Sherri will be able to pick up the call

if Ava delivers in the day. If it's at night, it's hard to get through to her."

Hackett and his sister slept exceptionally well. Edward was speechless. He thought that it was better to

have a backup plan. He envisioned it would be chaotic if Sherri were uncontactable when Ava was due

to give birth.

Frank did not dare to take the risk after hearing Edward's words. He instructed Ava directly, "Tell Sherri

we've already arranged for someone else. Tell her that I've already made the arrangement previously."

Ava had a troubled expression. She replied, "But I agreed a long time ago. I agreed to Sherri's

suggestion when I informed everyone that I was pregnant."

Frank was at a loss for words. He wondered why Hackett's wife wanted to deliver all of their friends'

kids.

Grace came out with the fruits. She happened to hear Ava's words. Seeing her daughter-in-law's

troubled expression, she bent down and put the fruits down. "Don't refuse her then. Frank, prepare

another doctor. Do the same as Trevon. If you can't get to Sherri, use the other doctor."

Sherri would not nag at Ava then. At most, she would complain that she did not take the call in time.

Rose interrupted their conversation. She handed the spinning top to her son. She patted her son's

head and stood up. Her legs were numb from squatting. She pinched them and said, "Don't worry,

Sherri will be able to get through with a phone call this time. She has already prepared something

invincible. It will wake her up in seconds."

Ava poked her head out. She asked curiously, "Is there such a thing? What is it?"

Rose patted her chest and said reassuringly, "I don't know what that thing is either. I can't find a precise

word. How should I say it? Anyway, you'll know when the time comes. She'll get up."

The people present wondered if they should believe what Rose said. Only Edward did not believe her

at all. He did not trust Sherri and Hackett to wake up in time at all. He had already tried waking them

up. They could not get up in seconds.

A little past midnight.

The sky was still dark.

Rose rubbed her sleepy eyes as she walked into the bathroom. She held the pregnancy test kit she

had bought a few days ago. Her period was late. She could do the test.

She had wanted to test a few days ago. However, she was afraid that the results would not be

accurate. She had waited to get a more precise test. Her period was six days late.

Ten minutes later. The second line showed on the pregnancy kit placed on the vanity top. Rose was so

excited that she forgot to pull up her pants. She stood there in a daze.

Her pants fell to her ankles. She did not lift them. She kept looking at the test kit. She even looked at it

under the light. The second line was very shallow. However, she could confirm that she was pregnant.

She could not suppress the excitement in her heart.

Ava had not even given birth yet. She was already pregnant. She was too excited. Edward was strong.

She put the pregnancy test kit back on the vanity top. She pulled up her pants. She turned around and

went to the bedroom to get her phone. Then, she quietly returned to the bathroom and took a photo of

the pregnancy test kit.

Ava picked up the pregnancy test kit again. She grinned foolishly. She swiftly threw it into the trash can.

She even covered it with a tissue. She could not let Edward discover it. It would scare the wits out of

him.

She had to tell him the news calmly. At the very least, she had to let Edward wake up first.

"Nothing, I'm in a good mood. That's why I woke up a little early." It was indeed a little early. She had

woken up at two in the morning. She had not slept since. The main reason was that she was so happy

that she could not sleep.

Rose approached Edward with a smile. Her voice was gentle as she asked sweetly, "Are you fully

awake?"

Rose took a look at his face. "You'd better wash your face. I'll tell you something later. Don't be

nervous. You'll be happy."

Edward looked at Rose. She was already done with her makeup. He was suspicious. "Alright, I'll go

wash up first."

After closing the curtains, Rose felt she should doll up and put on makeup. It was worth the effort. She

went to the bathroom to put on makeup. She even used a curling iron to curl her hair.

Edward walked into the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror. He was in a daze. He wondered

why Rose was acting abnormally. He assured himself Rose would not tell him news that would frighten

him. He comforted himself.

Seeing that Edward had woken up, Rose took small steps and walked towards Edward. She handed

the phone to him. She said coquettishly, "Look, you're so amazing. We were successful in one shot."

Edward looked down at the phone. He fell silent. After a moment, he said, "Rose, let's stop at this baby.

Alright?"

Rose did not want to scare Edward. She agreed readily. "Alright, I'll listen to you." Content of

She decided they would have another discussion after she gave birth. Who knew what would happen

then?

Edward helped Rose downstairs. Rose waved him off. She did not let Edward help her. "It's not a big

deal. I have experience. Don't worry."

Edward shook his head.

Frank came out of his room. He saw his sister had curled her hair. He said viciously, "I see that you got NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

electrocuted."

Rose turned around and smacked her brother's arm. She had used all her strength. It made Frank

frown in pain. However, he did not fight back. Rose said, "You're so annoying. Can you say something

pleasing to my ears early in the morning?"

Frank replied, "Let your husband say those to you."

Rose snorted. "I knew you'd say that. Your sweet words are only for Ava. Who cares?"

Frank ignored her. He turned around and walked past the two of them as he strode downstairs. Rose

quietly reminded Edward. "Don't tell them yet. I'll surprise them after my checkup today."

Frank nodded. He had already started worrying about Rose. "Alright. Be careful in the hospital. Call me

if anything happens. If..."

Rose interrupted him. "Oh my, don't worry. I'm experienced. Isn't Sherri still in the hospital? Relax.

Don't be nervous."

Rose had asked him to relax and not be nervous. It sounded like Edward was the one pregnant.
