Chapter 220 Kissing Her on the Lips
Chapter 220 Kissing Her on the Lips
Sophia crawled to the place where Kara instructed, she was about to drag her down to the pool once
Kara held out her hands.
She was just standing in the pool to pull her down, with all her force.
"Kara was too weak to resist," she thought. She would drag her to the pool and stamp on her head.
If something bad happened to her, she would say it was a pure accident.
All these people here witnessed it was Kara who pushed her down to the pool, and they would assume
she drowned down to the pool while helping her out!
Sophia imagined all the scenarios that were to happen. "Kara's death would verify the marriage
between Kathleen and James," she played the plot in her mind.
Zoey would let James tie the knot with Kathleen immediately for the sake of the unborn baby.
And then her Kathleen would step into a happy new life.
Sophia saved Kara once when she was almost beaten to death by Linda.
If Kara died now, it should be seen as her fate, nothing less.
"Ah!"
Sophia was too naive to picture-perfect. When she was about to drag Kara to the pool, she was
stopped by a strong hand.
It was a man with a white uniform. Sophia widened her eyes in shock. The man loosened her grip on
Kara and kicked her away.
She fell again, with dirty pool water pouring into her mouth.
"Kara, are you alright?"
Cold sweat appeared on Will's forehead. He was relieved to find out she was okay.
If Sophia dragged Kara into the pool, she would get cold, and If James knew that he would kill Will.
"Yeah, I am okay."
Kara was frightened to death. Panic hit her when she saw Sophia was struggling in the water.
"Will, please help her out! Make sure she is safe. If something went bad with her, I would be the
culprit."
Will looked at Sophia in disdain. He patted Kara's shoulder out of comfort.
"Don't get crying," Will said. He was gentle with his words, which calmed her down.
"The pool is not that deep, it won't kill her. Let her taste the pool water," he said," You get enough
sunshine, now let's get into your room and get your pills."
"Is she gonna be okay?" Kara asked out of concern.
"I promise, she will be fine," Will repeated.
"It was me who kicked her down to the pool. So don't worry. If something happens, I take the
responsibility." Will said to her. It was not right to hold her hands, so he put his arm around her shoulder
and took her to the room. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
Maybe it was the medicine, she was asleep in an instance.
Will gave a call to James after she fall asleep, and told him to get off work early.
"What the hell!"
James heard the news that Kara experienced some shock. His face clouded, he threw out the papers
on his desk.
Pang! The senior managers who were ready to begin the meeting stared at him, cold sweat on their
foreheads.
They gazed at each other, wondering what was going on.
"James is not in a good mood now, who the hell it was to pick up the trouble," they thought.
James nodded to Nolan, giving a hint that he was going to make a phone call, and came back later for
the meeting.
Nolan pinched his eyebrows, feeling desperately helpless.
"Sophia made the trouble at the hospital. How dare she! I didn't want to hurt them because they are
Kara's family, but they stepped out of the line!"
"Sophia and Kathleen should be stopped." Will was furious too.
"How is Kara doing now?" James asked. His tone was softening.
Will raised his eyebrows and turned around. He let out a silent sigh seeing her sleeping on her bed,
somehow unsettling.
"She just fell asleep. From the way I see it, you should be with her more often."
"Yes."
James wanted to be with her more, of course, but he had works to do and sometimes he can't just
leave them that way. This was a headache for him.
"James, have you felt something special?" Will asked suddenly.
"What?" James didn't know what he was referring to.
"I mean, the feel of being in love, have you felt it?" Will asked further.
"..."
He hung up the phone and made his way to the conference room, with the questions lingering on his
mind.
The feel of being in love.
It was a beautiful and painful feeling.
The bitter side of it was not that strong, he didn't dislike it.
The meeting was over. He called Nolan into his office.
"You go to find out about Kathleen and Sophia. And when the time comes, kick them out of this city."
It occurred to Nolan that Kathleen was pregnant, but he still didn't know what she had done have
triggered his anger. But no matter what, it was Mr. James who let him handle this case. It was going to
be torture for them before they left the city.
"Fine," Nolan replied. He would immediately put out the investigation.
James had made his fame from an early age. He had people on his side who were there to protect him.
And he always wanted to keep a low profile, so these people would keep their business secret too. But
as long as James wanted them, Nolan would pass the message and they would do what they were
told.
When Nolan settled the deals with Emily last time, they helped him out in a second with one phone call.
They put some little toys in her car and placed them in her purse.
At the hospital, Kara woke up to a full sweat.
She looked around, her eyes searching. To her disappointment, she failed to spot James.
She was about to take a shower when the door was opened by someone. It was James who stepped
in.
Her face was enlightened, her eyes full of surprise. She ran to him with excitement and hugged him
with her arms wide open.
James didn't make the time to come into the room. He hugged her back with his arms around her.
"James, I think I did something wrong," she said to him, pitifully.
James put aside the items he brought, looked at her bare feet, and picked her up.
"Silly girl, why are you running without your shoes on?"
He sat on the couch, holding her little feet. Her feet were cold, even if she slept all afternoon.
She felt itchy when he placed his big warm hands on her feet.
Kara was embarrassed and pushed away his hands but in vain.
"James let go of my feet please, it is itchy."
"You say it is itchy?" James scratched her feet playfully. At that very moment, Kara gave in and went on
him, smiling.
"Ah, it is indeed very itchy, please stop doing that. I admit I was wrong."
James held her feet between his legs to warm her.
"You have to wear shoes first, keep that in mind, ok?"
"Ok, I will."
Kara nodded obediently. With her feet between his legs, she blushed and turned away from his eyes.
"What is on your mind Kara, why do you keep looking at the ground?"
James lifted her chin. Their eyes met.
He was in love with her big blue eyes, so pure, so innocent. When she looked at him, all he could feel
was her love.
"Let me hear out then, you said you did something wrong?"
"It was me who pushed Sophia to the pool. Can you help me identify her situation now, I am worried."
She replied.
James already knew what happened. Will had told him it was Sophia who stirred up the trouble and
even attempted to pull Kara into the pool.
Well, Sophia was in the dirty pool, that was her karma.
"OK, I'll let Will ask about her."
He didn't want her mind wandering off aimlessly. So his fingers touched her dry lip. He lowered his
head and began to kiss her.
