Chapter 16 Kit Just Wanted Her to Die
Chapter 16 Kit Just Wanted Her to Die
“What now? Haven’t you been here before?”
Seeing her motionless, Kit snorted.
Isobel cast a glance at him and smiled slightly. “Well, I just didn’t expect you’d take me to such high-
class place for dinner, Mr. Stewart.”
“I’m always generous to women. Get off.”
As he spoke, he pushed the door open and got off the car. Then he approached her and opened the
door for her. Isobel could only follow him to get off the car.
“Be more sensible when meeting the man in the private room. He’s the president of our potential client
company. We’ll have a project cooperated with him. If you ruined it tonight, I’m afraid I must teach you
a lesson to be sensible.”
He squinted, his tone full of obvious threats.
Isobel’s face stiffened slightly. “You --” “Don’t get nervous. All you need to do is to accompany him for
dinner.”
Isobel was not a fool. It was not so simple for her to accompany someone for a business dinner. She
knew that Kit wouldn’t let go of her so easily, but she had never expected that he would ask her to be
someone’s date for this business dinner.
Seeing her pull a long face, Kit directly squeezed her shoulders. “This is what you’ve promised me.
You’re having dinner with me tonight, aren’t you?”
Isobel cast him a cold glance. “Kit Stewart, I don’t think we have that much enmity between us, do we?”
Upon hearing this, Kit laughed. “What are you talking about? I just want you to have dinner with me.”
As he was speaking, he pushed the door of the private room open. All people inside looked over at
them. Isobel caught a glimpse at the man sitting on the host’s chair -- Darren Chester, the CEO of NY
Group. He was famous for fooling around with women and abusing them in bed. Most of women who
get laid needed to go to hospital after leaving his bed.
Isobel’s face paled as soon as she saw him.
“Good evening, Mr. Stewart. Here you came! Who is this?” asked Darren.
Kit grabbed Isobel and pulled her over. “This is Miss Isobel Lewis. Mr. Chester, you should have heard
about her before. She used to be Mr. Francis’s date in the past.”
Darren took a look at Isobel up and down and nodded, as if he suddenly recognized her. “Oh, it’s Miss.
Lewis! Nice to meet you.”
Isobel forced a smile. “Mr. Chester, it’s pleasure to meet you, too. I’ve heard a lot about you.”
She realized that Kit just wanted her to die by doing this.
Isobel felt coldness from the bottom of her heart.
Once seated, Kit chitchatted with Darren, while Darren always glued his eyes on Isobel from time to
time. Her smile gradually faded.
Isobel felt chilled when eating. During the dinner, she wanted to pull out her phone and call Eduard
over to save her. However, Kit kept an eye on her so she never got a chance.
“Miss Lewis, why don’t you eat? Don’t you like the dishes?” Darren suddenly changed the topic and
asked her. Isobel tightened her hand holding the chopsticks and forced a smile. “Not really. I had a
cake this afternoon. I’m still not hungry yet.”
“Ha ha ha.. I thought you are on diet. Miss Lewis, you have a great shape. No need to be on diet.”
The man’s eyes were quite unbridled when focusing on her. Kit was sitting aside and watching coldly.
Isobel lowered her head and pursed her lips. “I’m going to use the bathroom. Please excuse me.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Kit waved his hand and called someone over. “Take Miss Lewis to
the restroom. There are so many private rooms here. I’m afraid she would get lost.”
Hearing his words, Isobel looked at him coldly. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
However, she didn’t dare to fall out with him right now. In this business dinner, both Kit and Darren had
evil intentions towards her. She was on the edge of danger. If she didn’t pay enough attention, she
would be eaten up alive.
After nodding at Darren, Isobel followed Kit’s men to walk out the private room.
It was not the first time for Isobel to have dinner in Camellia Restaurant. Hence, she knew the place
very well.
She wanted to take the opportunity to sneak out. However, in less than two minutes, the two men who
were following her rushed in front and blocked her way. “Miss Lewis, the restroom is over there,” said
one of the men.
He pointed to the ladies’ diagonally to the right.
Isobel looked at them both with a cold face. “I know. I just want to come out and have a walk. Any
problem?”
“Miss Lewis, Mr. Stewart said that if you’re sensible tonight, he would never make trouble for you again;
if not, you need to be careful from now on.”
Upon hearing it, Isobel’s face turned pale. She stood still for a few seconds before turning around and
returning to the private room.
