Chapter 87
Chapter 87
Kristin stared at Vincent with terror in her eyes, her voice shaking. “No… Don’t hurt my brother.” “Kristin, I’ve told you. If you don’t behave, I’ll make someone close to you pay the price,” Vincent said, trapping her in his embrace and forcefully gripping her chin. “This time, watch closely.”
“Vincent… you bastard…” Kristin’s trembling voice broke through. “You can’t hurt my brother. Rhett… Rhett said he’d look out for me.”
Her voice quivered, hoping that mentioning Rhett would make Vincent think twice, but it only pissed him off more.
“You’re a slut,” Vincent dragged Kristin into a nearby cabin. “You’ve slept with my brother, haven’t you?”
Kristin bit her lip, glaring at Vincent with hatred. “You have no right to ask me that.”
“I have no right, huh? Kristin, how low can you stoop?” Vincent sneered mockingly, tearing open her clothes. “I regret that I never touched you before.”
Her whole body shivered, burning wherever Vincent touched her.
“Aren’t you disgusted?” Kristin cried out, challenging him.
“Yeah, you’re dirty.” Vincent retaliated, biting Kristin’s neck. “But if Rhett doesn’t care, why should 12”
Rhett thought he could humiliate him through Kristin. Dream on.
“Vincent, You won’t let me go unless I’m dead, right?” Kristin sank to her knees, her fingers trembling as she clutched at Vincent’s clothes. “Spare my brother, please.”
“I’ll never forgive Garner for the harm he’s caused Ruby. Even if he were to endure a thousand deaths or lose both of his hands, it wouldn’t begin to extinguish my deep–seated hatred for him!” Vincent forced Kristin to look outside. “Go on. Cut off his hands.”
The bodyguard pulled out a knife. “Sorry about this.”
“No!” Kristin screamed, struggling and rushing to push away the man about to act.
“Vincent! The one who wronged you is me. I owe you…” Kristin picked up the knife from the ground and slashed her wrist without any hesitation. “Not enough, right?”
She kept cutting her wrist, blood gushing out in alarming streams.
“Bastard, I’ll kill you!” Garner yelled hysterically, fighting off his restraints and beating his captors senselessly.
As Kristin’s face turned ghostly pale, she stumbled backward, continuously cutting her wrist deeper.
Chapter 87
Vincent stood rigid, watching Kristin’s madness, his chest aching as if it were splitting open.
What exactly did he want Kristin to do?
“Boss, that, that woman’s gone mad. She will die, won’t she?” The bodyguard was terrified, his voice shaking.
They didn’t want to be responsible for a death.
Fueled by rage, Garner fought off everyone, knocking out his captors before staggering to his feet and rushing over to Kristin, forcefully taking the knife from her grasp.
“Give me the knife.” Garner’s eyes were bloodshot, his hand trembling as he held the blade.
Kristin looked at Garner with empty eyes, and seeing his blood dripping down the blade, she let go in shock.
As her vision darkened, Kristin collapsed into Garner’s arms. “Garner, I’m so tired.”
Garner’s throat burned. He swallowed hard but couldn’t find any words of comfort.
Apart from killing these people, he didn’t know how else to protect Kristin and Summer.
“Take her to the hospital. Garner fought to steady his shaking voice, wrapping Kristin’s wrist with his shirt. “I’ll take you to the hospital, Kris.”
“Summer…” Kristin looked toward the door, hearing Summer’s desperate cries, and slowly raised her hand. “Garner, take care of Summer.”
She was so tired, exhausted.
Let her be free.
If she died, these people would have no reason to continue tormenting them.
*Stop playing dead.” Vincent’s voice was trembling, yet he spoke coldly. “Take her to the hospital.”
“Get lost!” Garner glared at Vincent with red–rimmed eyes. He was afraid he couldn’t control himself from killing Vincent.
Vincent clenched his fists. “Damn it. I’ll take her to the hospital!”
“Get the hell out!” Garner picked up Kristin, intent on heading to the hospital.
After hearing that Vincent had returned, Rhett hurriedly drove over, only to find Garner holding a blood– soaked Kristin.
James had also arrived because he was worried, having asked Bill to find out where Garner lived and wanted to check in.
“To the hospital… I’ll take her to the hospital,” Rhett insisted on taking Kristin..
Seeing Kristin covered in blood again, Rhett felt his emotions spiraling out of control.
Chapter 87
He was always a man unaffected by emotion, but at that moment, he wanted to kill Vincent.
“You needn’t worry.” James also approached in panic, trying to take Kristin.
Garner avoided James, handing Kristin to Rhett. “Mr. FitzGerald… please.”
Kristin had said Rhett was different from the others.
James didn’t deserve her. In Garner’s eyes, if James were the person who had forced Kristin six years ago, he would never be worthy.
Rhett held Kristin and got into the car, his gaze deep as he looked at Vincent.
Vincent’s knuckles turned white with tension, furious that he could only watch Rhett take Kristin away! Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Because he dared not defy Rhett.
Irked, James adjusted his tie and turned back to Vincent. “Are you freaking asking to die?”
James kicked Vincent, losing control and punching him in the face over and over.
Vincent watched James with a cold laugh. “Mr. Bryce, you’re not falling for a tramp, are you? What I did to her was none of your business, right? Your fiancée is still in jail, after all.”
James‘ fist froze mid–air, and the darkness in his eyes grew even more intense. “Vincent, you got a death wish or something?”
After saying that, James threw another punch.
Vincent’s bodyguard tried to step in, but Bill blocked him with an outstretched hand. “You guys better weigh your options if Mr. Bryce gets a scratch.”
Garner didn’t give a shit about the rich folks‘ squabble. Clutching his hand in his clothes, he stumbled over to the door, let Summer out, and hugged him. “No more tears, Summer. It’s okay now.”
Summer had cried herself hoarse, screaming for her mom.
Hearing Summer’s cries, James held back and kicked Vincent in the stomach before heading to Summer.
After all, Vincent was from the FitzGerald family, so James didn’t go all the way. He just knocked the guy out.
The bodyguards whisked Vincent away, leaving only James, Bill, Garner, and Summer in the yard.
“Summer… James‘ voice was strained, rasp–like, as he wiped the blood from his face and crouched down before him. “I’m sorry, sweetheart… Daddy’s late.”
Exhausted from crying, Summer clung to Garner. “You’re always late. I don’t like you….
James raised his hand to his forehead and took a deep breath. “I’m sorry. How about we go to

the hospital and see Mommy, okay?”
Summer glanced at Garner, wanting to see his mom.
Garner turned to James with a low voice. “You don’t deserve it.”
In Garner’s mind, James didn’t deserve to be Summer’s father.
But Garner didn’t stop Summer from going with him.
Bill stood there, biting his tongue.
That was James‘ choice, insisting on using Summer to tie Kristin down. So, it was only fair that he dealt with everyone’s misjudgments.
