Chapter 38: I Don't Care
Chapter 38: I Don't Care
No one expected that they would see us be together as rumours spread that Travis was my ex-husband. I couldn't stop it from spreading because it was true. I don't know who did that. I've been very careful about that issue, but it's already happening. It's also affecting my work, though it's not that big a deal, but I couldn't stop people talking about me and Travis, especially now that I am working with their wedding.
Also, I couldn't figure out who the hell spread those rumours on social media. Luckily, we talked for days, and after that, I often heard about it.
"Ms. Jaz Mr. Peterson is here" Rhian said while I'm busy with the new design that Stacy sent her last night.
I couldn't imagine how angry she was when she found out about the news. I was surprised, but she went to the bankers after she found out about it, while Travis had no reaction at all. I even confronted him the other day about it. "Are you the one who spread that news?" I angrily asked him, but he seemed to have no idea what I was talking about.
"What? What kind of news was that?" He asked, confused. I was wrong to talk to him about that, but I told him about the news, and he just acted like it was normal to him.
"I have nothing to do with that. Besides, that was true," he said and smiled at me.
He's acting like being in the news article about that kind of issue is nothing.
"Ms Jaz. "Rhian snapped her finger in front of me, which shocked me. I didn't know that she was there for long. And yes, I've heard what she said, but I just remembered what happened that day. "Yes, please tell him to come here", I said, and in just a second, he was already in front of me, smiling.
He even gave me flowers. I didn't want to embarrass him, that's why I just accepted it.
"You seemed busy today. I just want to ask you for a date." I chuckled. He's really a straightforward person, and unlike other men, he's not scared to show his feelings.
"I'm sorry, but you know I have no time for that kind of thing," I answered him. I even saw him pouting, but that didn't work on me.
"I know. I just want to make sure," he said and chuckled.
When suddenly someone went in front of us, he looked at Paul like he was some kind of enemy.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
"What are you doing here?" He asked him while Paul just shrugged his shoulders. Travis didn't like his answer.
"Just watching her," he pointed at me like he was a kid blaming me for something I didn't steal.
"Focus on your job, Ms. Stewart, and stop flirting here." He suddenly said that it made my blood bleed, but before I could talk, he turned around and walked away. I look at Paul. "You know what? You soul go. I still have work to do, and they don't want their employees doing something that is not connected with their work. "I explained to him, and he just sighed. "Fine, but I'll find a way to come here and talk to you," he said before leaving, even waving his hand.
I just went back to my work, and I could see from here that Travis was staring at me.
Stacy wasn't there, and I was surprised because when she's always here, she doesn't want to stop talking and keeps on lecturing My staff like a kid. She has a bad temper.
Sometimes, my employees just want to leave and stop working with her, but they don't have a choice because they have families to support. And I understand them. I understand how hard it is to work, especially for someone like Stacy. But I kept on advising them that they shouldn't have to listen to those bitch words. And as long as I am here, I will stand up for them.
Stacy's treatment of them is injustice, and if I have to argue with her, then I will just stop her stupidity.
I walk through the wall while Carrying the flower vase. About the vase that one of my employees broke, I already paid for it. I also found out that her son is in the hospital and needs medical treatment.
When it comes to those kinds of
things, my heart melts easily. He
doesn't deserve to be shouted at like that just because he broke that vase. That day was also the day that his son needed to undergo an operation, but they didn't have money. That's why, as soon as I found out, I helped him and asked him to work still so he could get money to use for his son's treatment.
I place the vase on the table, I'm trying to find another color that could match the flower. Actually, we are not supposed to use this colour because Stacy wants a violet one, but since Travis said that we should just use the blue one, then we don't have a choice but to follow his instructions. Even Stacy Started to rant and criticize the theme.
"See? You are not listening. You and your theme don't know what you are doing. "I turned around to see her standing at my back and smirking while she crossed her arms.
I rolled my eyes secretly And looked at her.
"Ms. Stacy, your fiance, was the one
velin
who suggested it, not us. Besides, if you can't choose the appropriate colour for your wedding theme, then we have no choice but just to what he said because we are running out of time. There are also still works waiting for us, not only this." I told her, and she tried to
smile, but I could see how mad she
looked.
I turned around and tried to ignore her presence, though I knew that she was watching my every move. But I didn't care.
