Alpha's Second Chance

Everything is planned, defenses have been made, and we plan to have a team in hiding. When the rouges are in position, they attack from behind, giving us an advance. We are ready to end this war for good.

Everyone who needs to be safe is going into the bunkers today. They have all been stocked so they can survive there for a week.

Madeline and Mom are not happy that we want them in the secret bunker. But Dad and I need them to be safe, and this was how they would be.

"I want to help you," Madeline says as she is still lying in my arms.

"I know, but I cannot focus if I don't know you are safe," I explain to her.

"I understand it really does. But it is torturous knowing you there without me. I worry so much it hurts." She whispers.

I look at her and see that she tries to hide the tears in her eyes. I hold her face in my hands and look deeply into her eyes.

"They can't hurt me, beautiful. The only way they can hurt me is to hurt you. As long as I know you are safe, I can focus on what I must do." I tell her and kiss her softly, and I feel her relax a little.

"Let us make a deal, and our mindlink stays open. And if you feel it being attacked again, use your powers to shield it. That way, we both know the other one is okay." I suggest as I look into her concerned eyes.

"Okay, thank you. I am sorry I am being silly." She whispers.

"You not silly, I understand," I tell her and hold her close.

We sat like this for a while, and then I suddenly felt Sam. Madeleine could feel it too and right away helped me find him in my mind. I kept going until we could see him. He is surrounded by rouges, all moving towards war.

'I am here, Sam.' I tell him.

'My king, we will reach you tonight. He wants to surprise you by attacking at night.

I am on the last rows.' He answers shortly.

'That's perfect. Dad and Kyle are going to be behind the rouge's surprise attack. Find him when the battles start. He will do a quick pack invitation so the rest of our warriors won't mistake you for a rouge. I tell and I feel his relief.

'Thank you. I miss home.' He says, and I can feel the truth in his words, and I realize this must have felt horrible for him.

'We are happy you will very soon be back where you belong. Try to get the rouge Leon with you, and Dad wants to protect him. Our hope is he will come close enough for them to be able to talk through their matebond.' I tell him.

'He will come. He knows his Grace is waiting for him.' Sam tells me, and I smile.

'Perfect. See you very soon, Sam.' I say and pull back.

Madeleine, don't ask or stall. We both quickly get dressed and hurry home to Mom and Dad. I call for them the second we get inside, and they both come rushing.

"Tonight, I felt Sam, the rouge leader, wanted to surprise us by attacking at night," I tell them.

"Sam is in the back rows, and so is Leon. I told Sam to get him with him and find you." I finish as I see Dad go in mindlink, and a second later, I feel the pack link open.noveldrama

'Everyone who isn't fighting in the war coming, move to the bunkers now, warriors and Omegas at the castle, get all our guests to safety. Warriors get into your position and make sure everyone in your group is ready. The groups that go with me meet me in one hour. Stay safe, and be there for each other. Help each other.' Dad's message goes out to everyone within this pack and town.

Dad kisses Mom, and Madeleine and I do the same. Then Mom and her and the twins leave for the bunker, and Dad looks at me.

"Let's end this fucking war," Dad says, and we leave the house.

When we reach the fields, the warriors are coming from different directions. They move into the groups and fight alongside the vampires. Vladimir is already here and bows his head in respect.

After an hour, it is calm like before a big storm. Everyone is ready, and we go through the groups, checking them all.

We are talking with Vladimir, who tells us that as soon as the darkness comes, more vampires will join us. And they will come and attack from behind, all wearing

a whole band on their arms like the rest of our warriors and vampires.

We had chosen to do this to be sure our warriors and Vladimir's vampires could recognize each other on the battlefield.

Dad and Kyle will leave when we are ready with the teams that are going with them. Enzo and I stay here, and Vladimir goes into hiding with the groups that are made up of only

vampires. I tell the rest to stay out of

sight, and then we wait.
