I had been in my hiding spot for a few hours, the mindlink being open to the entire family. All the while, I kept feeling the rouges getting closer, but then Dad got quiet for a second.

"They are here, we see them. Keep an eye on Sam. See if you can find Leon." Dad says, and I do as he asks.

I find Sam with no problem and feel him trying to connect to me, so I let him in and feel his relief.

'Leon's mate is mindlinking him. We ready.' Sam, tell me.

'Good, you know what to do. Dad is waiting for you.' I say, and the link closes.

I can feel the Rogue leader when he steps over the town line, and I know it's now that matters.

"They are in," I tell Enzo, and he nods his head.

"Let us end this once and for all." He says, and I hear the warriors around us agree. We are ready.

Madeline can hear everything I say, and I feel her holding on tighter to the matebond. She is worried the magical attack will happen again.

I focus on my task ahead of me, and one minute later, I see them, they are walking into the streets. I get up and growl loudly and shift into Lucian, letting him have full control, and he howls louder than anyone I have ever heard before.

The rouges stop, and the leader looks almost worried for a few seconds, but I know why. I am the king of kings, king over all supernatural beings, wolves, Vampires, elves, and everyone else. No one can resist me, and until now, my powers have been pushed back and controlled.

My human self doesn't really understand it all yet, but I trust Lucian and my family. I feel Madeleine and her powers, just a small portion of it, but I feel her, and it keeps me grounded.

Lucian stands up, walks out of hiding, and shows himself to the rouges.

"If you want to live, leave. Leave and end this foolish plan. Forcing races as old as

us all will never work." Lucian says with so much power that I can see the Rouges feel the impact of his words.

"No one leaves if they want to live. We end this today, and everyone will be free." The leader yells, and Lucian laughs.

"Do you really think you can win?" Lucian taunts him.noveldrama

"I know I can." He says, and then a lot of things happen at once. Rouges scatter and go to attack. The leader moves so fast that he is gone, and I feel Vladimir next to us.

"He has vampire speed, how I don't know." The old Vampire says, surprised, and I feel the sincerity in his words. He did not know this.

The rouges are attacking, and our warriors come out from hiding and attack.

I am looking for the leader, knowing it will be over if we can find and kill him. I see Enzo fighting in his lycan form, and I know he will be fine. Vladimir surprised me. For an old-looking vampire, he is fast and a very skilled fighter.

I search for the leader, throwing of rouges that attack on my way. Our warriors do good, and I know we will win. I could stop this once and for all. Lucjan told me I have the power to command anyone. But using it at this magnitude means losing myself.

The kings before us sacrificed their matebonds to have that power. Because our true mates are meant to be the ones who make sure we don't lose control. The other kings knew and decided the powers meant more than their mates.

So the only way to ever have that power would be if I rejected Madeleine or if she died. And none of those is an option for me. I will never sacrifice the greatest thing in my life for power. So here we are, fighting.

In my search, I can still feel Madeleine and Dad tell me Sam and Leon are safe. And then I see him, the leader is standing in front of the castle, with a woman next to him.

"Whatever you are doing, it won't work," I tell him, and they turn to look at me.

"But it already is working, do it." And the next thing I feel is to be thrown through the air, landing on the ground.

I am surprised by the strength of the

power that hit me and hear the

rouge laugh. I am backing my feet and the rouge attacks. He is fast and strong, but I am still stronger, and I throw him off me kicking him away from me, but he uses his speed to attack me again.

After a short while, he trips, and Lucian takes the chance to grab him by the

throat. Bring out the claws. On the other hand, he gets ready to rip the heart out of him. But then something happens.

I can't breathe, and it feels like a dark

black cloud surrounds me. I stand as grounded as I can, but the attack

is forcing me on my knees, and I lose my grip on the rouge. I feel Dad, Enzo, and Mom all yelling in my mind, but I mostly feel Madeleine.

'Don't let, don't dare.' She commands me, and I am trying, but the darkness is slowly taking over my mind.

'MADELEINE.' I yell in my mind when I feel her slowly disappearing in my mind.
