Chapter 234
Chapter 234
Danica slowly started her car and looked at the pictures she just took. "Heh!"
She never expected Alicia to be so shameless, who cared about no one but herself.
Didn't Alicia know how possessive Frederick was? No one could go near to whoever he fancied and he would hurt anyone who dared to come between them.
Alicia was getting herself into trouble.
Danica cachinnated as she thought of how Alicia acted at the office. "What a silly woman! How could she have the audacity to humiliate him in public?"
Was Alicia trying to test Frederick's limits?
No matter how gorgeous she was, how long would he stand such a capricious woman? Frederick would never want a trophy wife!
Suddenly, Danica realized she made a mistake. She shouldn't be so aggressive now that Alicia has the upper hand.
Frederick was obsessed with Alicia. He would definitely forgive her for what she did. But still, Frederick was not just anybody. He was an egotistical man with a vision. He wanted to build his business so that he could be the best of them all. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
It was once his ambition. Currently, he has achieved what he wanted. Even the whole city was at his fingertips, let alone this woman!
Other than his career, Frederick was overbearing and impatient in everything else.
Not to mention that he once hated Alicia. It wasn't hard to believe that one day, Alicia would exhaust the last ounce of Frederick's patience. When the time came, Danica would have a chance!
Scrolling through her phone, Danica picked some light- hearted music and started humming to it. All she had to do at the moment was to add fuel to the fire!
Meanwhile, Alicia was absolutely infuriated after ditching Jeremy. Currently, Alicia hated him just as much as she loved him before. She drove around the city a while to get Jeremy off her tail. After making sure that Jeremy was not tailing her, she made herself to the hotel where Nicholas stayed. However, she didn't notice that a red car was following her the entire time.
As soon as Alicia opened the door to the room, Nicholas opened his eyes.
"Nicholas, did I wake you up?"
"Nope! It's okay. I'm a light sleeper," Nicholas replied. The habit was developed over the years. A nap was all he needed to recover.
After sorting out what she bought, Alicia stepped forward and placed her hand on his forehead.
'Tm afraid that the wound will inflame, therefore I bought some antiinflammatory and anti-fever medication just in case anything happens! I also bought you some clothes and noodles too for when you're hungry!"
After that, Alicia gave Nicholas ten thousand dollars and said, "Take it for any emergencies. We'll make a plan later."
After speaking, Alicia gave Nicholas her number and address.
Then, Alicia hit her own forehead with her palm. "Oh! I forgot to get you a new phone and a SIM card!"
Nicholas reached out and ruffled Alicia's hair gently.
"Silly girl! It's late. It's time for you to go home. Remember, don't tell anyone about me, including our parents, okay? I will be in contact!"
Nicholas took the note from Alicia and placed it in his pocket. Then, he returned most of the cash to her. "I am a grown man now! I will survive. Keep it for yourself. I still owe you 800,000 dollars, remember?"
Pouting unhappily, Alicia tried to stuff the money back into Nicholas's pocket.
"I only have one request!"
"Say it!"
"Live well and stop doing anything illegal! We have left where we came from and moved to Casterwich City. What am I supposed to do if something happened to our family? Dad hasn't fully recovered. That leaves Mom and me to make the decisions. If you are here to support the family, we will no longer feel lonely nor get bullied."
Alicia held his hand. Over the years, Flora and Alicia only had each other. Alicia was relieved to have another family member around!
Nicholas felt like there was something caught in his throat. He nodded and answered, "Okay!"
Then, Nicholas patted Alicia on her head.
"Well, it's really getting late now. Go home! This hotel is far from the city and it's not safe. Don't come over at night! I can survive, don't worry! Now go! Don't make Mom worry." "Well then. Goodbye, Nicholas! Use the public phone to get through to me!"
"Okay! I'll get myself a phone first thing in the morning!"
Alicia began to feel depressed after she walked out of the hotel. She and Frederick were not on speaking terms; she didn't want to go back under such circumstances. Where should she stay for the night? A hotel?
Alicia could feel her heart aching at the thought of money.
Whatever that was left was for Martin's surgery. It should be left untouched!
She drove back to Flora's house, adhering to her frugality.
After opening the door, Alicia realized no one was home. Then, she released a sigh of relief as she remembered how Flora had been spending her nights at the hospital.
Alicia was exhausted that night. After taking a shower, she applied ointment to her body. Then, she started to scorn Frederick silently before going into bed. However, Alicia forgot to leave her phone on as she charged it.
Meanwhile, Nicholas followed Alicia the entire way home. He stood downstairs for a while and only left once he knew Alicia was asleep. Then, he followed the address Alicia gave and went to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, he stood outside the ward and watched his parents quietly for a long time.
Meanwhile, once the business errand was done, Frederick kept calling Alicia. He even prepared a bouquet of red roses before he returned home. However, when he opened the door, nobody was home.
She really didn't come home...
Right then, Frederick's heart sank to the bottom of the ocean.
"Such a capricious woman! She had the audacity to not come home!" They set multiple rules but they were all for nothing. Alicia did not even give him a chance to explain.
Frederick tried to reach her again. "Why is her phone still off? Unbelievable!"
Frederick was getting anxious.
It was a horrible day. It was the first time Danica went to find Frederick and they were caught red- handed. Luck was not on his side. From now on, he must be more careful, he thought.
It was just a delay in response and Alicia decided to ghost him already? She was getting ridiculous!
Walking to the bar counter, Frederick got himself a glass of iced water to suppress his anger.
Frederick felt that the bouquet of red roses was an eyesore. "She had the audacity to splash water on him and turn her phone off? I've spoiled her! Will I be able to handle this ticking time bomb?" He thought.
Deep in his mind, Frederick wanted to let her be for a while. However, a question popped into Frederick's mind. "Why did she go to the company today? She didn't let me know beforehand or even bothered to knock! Was something wrong?"
After returning to the room, Frederick still could not suppress his anxiousness. He put on again the blazer that he just took off and grabbed the car key. "I guess she might have gone to her parents' house. There aren't any other places she could be at."
