Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 235

Frederick could not be more annoyed as his calls couldn't get through. Although he was busy the whole day, he still left the house hurriedly. Frederick stopped his car as he reached Mrs. Blanchard's house. At that moment, he saw the familiar white Bentley. His gaze instantly softened and his anger faded right away.

Looking up, he froze after opening the car door.

It was already eleven! Only a few lights were left on in the entire building. The rest were pitch black.

Reaching for his phone, Frederick made another call.

"It's still off!" Frederick sighed helplessly.

However, he felt relieved after knowing that Alicia was at Flora's place. He decided not to disturb them. Thus, he drove back home after smoking a cigarette.

It was a tiring night. When Frederick returned to Landrum Garden, his heart was more at peace after a shower.

Laying in bed, Frederick was dozing off as he

hugged Alicia's pillow. "That woman is a handful!"

"Fine! I'll go again tomorrow!"

Frederick was hung up over this, therefore he purposely got up early in the morning. He swiftly drove his car to Flora's to make sure that he wouldn't miss Alicia.

Frederick let out a sigh of relief as he saw Alicia's car still parked at the same place. Then, he took a small nap in the car.

Frederick shuddered at the sound of notification and woke up. He glanced at the Bently to check if it was there before he checked his phone.

"Spam message!"

After deleting the message, Frederick was completely awake. He decided to go online but the moment he opened a browser, a piece of news caught his eye.

"One-night couple, one-night stands. Booming business!"

The girl in the photo looked like Alicia. The man was...

Although the photo was dark, the clothes clearly looked like what Alicia wore the day before.

Frederick clicked on it and a few photos popped out. Some were showing Alicia's side while others showed her back. Jeremy was clearly the man in the photos.

At that moment, Frederick could feel his heart raging with anger.

Taking a closer look at the photos, they seemed to be taken on the street. The man was holding a shirt, seemingly trying to put it on while Alicia was holding to the hem of the shirt. Although the photos were blurry, Alicia seemed to be carrying a lot of shopping bags.

Their actions made it look like Alicia bought Jeremy clothes. They looked intimate.

But, deep down, Frederick could feel that Jeremy was not happy. Alicia was tiptoeing as well as if she was rushing.

Was Alicia in a rush to give Jeremy the clothes?

Was she the same money-minded Alicia?

Frederick was surrounded by a cloud of doubt. However, he couldn't shake off the feeling of how familiar the place looked.

The last photo in the link showed Alicia walking into a hotel.

Looking at the photo, the hotel was somewhere old and shabby. Alicia went into the hotel with her hands full but left empty-handed. The two photos were taken thirty minutes apart!

At that moment, Frederick quickened his pace in reading the news.

"Who made this? It even became the headline for today's news."

"What is happening? Why go to a shabby hotel? Was she out of her mind?"

Even if Alicia wanted to have an affair with Jeremy, she wouldn't choose such a shabby place! Jeremy didn't seem to be that poor that he would let Alicia buy things for him.

The article was written with all kinds of innuendos. In short, it was saying that modern women were sleazy and lazy. Thus, they would sell their bodies at hotels for a quick buck.

Few photos of different women going to hotels like this were attached as well. They made several trips in one night, wore different outfits, and had a different man each time. The article was actually highlighting how this sort of business was booming! Moreover, the article was recommending popular places to get such services.

For some unknown reason, Frederick had a feeling that the article was targeting Alicia.

It was no doubt that Alicia was the one in the photo seen at the hotel but Frederick believed that nothing happened between them! Frederick was certain that Alicia was at Flora's the night before. Besides, he wasn't surprised if she stayed at that shabby hotel since they had a huge fight. From

what Frederick knew, Alicia was frugal. She was so stingy that she wouldn't hesitate to stay at a place like this.

No matter how much money Frederick gave her, Alicia would save the money rather than spend it. Thus, Frederick gave her a monthly allowance instead of a credit card. She would be happy if he gave extra money to her every now and then.

The photos were probably taken before she went back to Flora's.

Frederick deduced that Alicia wanted to stay in the hotel originally but it was too dirty for her. Hence, she checked out and finally returned to Flora's.

But the question was, who coincidentally took these photos and made it into this piece of news?

Moreover, what happened between Alicia and Jeremy? Alicia was obviously the one who bought the bag of men's clothing. However, the clothes did not seem to be high- end products, considering they didn't even have proper packaging.

Why did Alicia buy men's clothing?

Filled with doubt, Frederick took a glimpse at the door and saw Alicia was walking out of the building. He looked at the time and it was only 7 in the morning.

Why was she this early?

Thankfully, Frederick anticipated this! Otherwise, he would have missed her.

Locking his phone, Frederick hurried out of the car.

Meanwhile, the moment Alicia turned on her phone, it couldn't stop ringing. Multiple messages were coming in at once. Going through the messages, Alicia deleted all of them as they were just some

junk messages such as vouchers, purchase with purchase coupon, and other unimportant notifications. Of course, she didn't know that countless messages were notifying her of Frederick's calls when her phone was off as the messages were delayed.

Alicia walked with her head lowered. She planned to visit Nicholas before going to work. Then, she planned to slip away from work and visit Martin in the hospital. Suddenly, a tall figure stepped in front of her and stopped her. Alicia recognized the brightly polished leather shoes. Stunned for a moment, Alicia raised her head slowly. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Looking at the man standing tall, Alicia's eyes started to fume in anger.

Putting away her phone, she walked away from Frederick after giving him a piercing glare.

"Ally!"

Frederick pulled her in, wrapped his arms around her waist, and said, "It's been a day and you're still mad at me? What happened yesterday was a misunderstanding! Danica's hair got stuck on my button."

Even Frederick didn't know how that happened. Two of them were talking and Frederick angered Danica as he rejected her request. Then, the both of them got into an altercation. As a result, her hair was caught between his collar clip and button. Danica refused to cut her hair. That was the moment when Alicia came in.
