Chapter 578
She was about to tell Frederick that she would only have to maintain her identity as Misty until Sebastian's concert was over. But before Alicia had the chance to speak, a snorting voice broke out,
"My, my, isn't it the almighty Miss Swift?"
As Alicia looked up, she noticed a young man dressed in a casual suit who was smoking a thick cigar had walked over to her. He was accompanied by two older men, one with his sleeves rolled up while the other had a fruit knife in his hand. The coy young man frowned and breathed heavily with a fierce look over his face.
"I thought you don't escort guests? Who's this gigolo, is he Mr. Nick? What, do you look down on us?"
After being continuously pestered by the man, Alicia knew that he was from the Lautner family, and his family carried some influence amongst the people. The last couple of times, Alicia had boldly rejected him whenever he approached her outside. Little did she think that he would actually enter the back hall this time.
As soon as she moved, Frederick immediately pulled her back into his arms, "You better mind your language!"
"Yo, who do you think you are? Are you trying to steal her away from me? She's mine, let her go!"
The young man instantly reached out to grab Alicia's arm as he roared. Frederick immediately twisted his hand off Alicia, and the young man started to howl painfully.
"Ow, my hand! What the f*ck! Why are you two just standing there? Beat him up!"
"You're looking down at me, aren't you? What does he have that I don't?! Take this b*tch away!"
Both his men looked at each other for a long time and did not dare to move at all. After all, everyone knew that the Heaven Star Clubhouse was Mr. Nick's territory, and Miss Swift belonged to him, so there were always people keeping their eyes on her.
Frederick swung his arm and pushed the young man backward, "F*ck off!"
The three of them rushed forward, and Frederick kicked them down one after the other. Their fight alerted a server, and they immediately called the security guards over. Right then, the security guards promptly rushed over and separated them.
"Mr. Lautner, what are you doing here? This is the back hall, the party is over at the front! Apologies for our poor hospitality, tonight's on us!"
"F*ck off! Don't f*cking swing those big words at me. Do you think I'm short of money?! Who do you people in Heaven Star Clubhouse think you are? Am I not a guest to you? Who does Misty Swift think she is? Stop acting pretentious! She has to escort me tonight!"
"She can escort him, but not me. Do you wish to shut down the clubhouse?"
The young man roared as he grabbed the manager's shirt.
"I'm here to support your business every day, yet you don't want to give me the respect I deserve. Let's see how you like it when I get my second uncle to run a background check on your clubhouse! Let me tell you, he is Malcom Lautner, the person who controls businesses like yours! If you don't hand Misty over right now, I assure you you can say goodbye to your clubhouse tomorrow!"
Seemingly drunk, Mr. Lautner pushed the manager aside and kicked over a plant by the door of a room. In an instant, the scene became chaotic once more. Alicia subconsciously grabbed Frederick's shirt as she panicked inexplicably. Frederick narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Throw them out! I'll bear the responsibility if they're crippled! I'd like to see if your uncle or the Heaven Star Clubhouse goes down first!"
Frederick's words reassured the security guards. Shortly, the three men were instantly thrown out of the clubhouse.
The manager was visibly worried. Just as he gulped, Frederick said, "You can go back to your work! I'll talk to Mr. Nick about this!"
"I understand!"NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
Alicia's face darkened as soon as the manager disappeared from her sight.
"It's just as you said! I just wanted to wait until the concert ends. It's only a few days left... I've gotten you guys into trouble again, haven't I" Alicia had heard about Samuel Lautner before! Unknowingly, Alicia's face turned gloomy. Clubs were really a place filled with conflicts. Frederick stroked Alicia's hair and took off his suit jacket to drape it over her. Then, he hugged her tightly and said,
"It's not your fault! A successful career and women have always been the two things men fight for! If Mr. Nick desires to run a nightclub business, these are the risks he must bear!"
Undoubtedly, any gorgeous lady could be targeted by men at a nightclub. The real question was, how would Mr. Nick deal with it?
Right after that, a cold voice sounded. "You sure know how to find excuses for yourself!"
They looked up and saw Nicholas coming out from a corner. "You've offended my guest in my club and you even want to leave this mess to me Yet you have the audacity to use such an excuse!" He said.
Nicholas stepped forward, scrutinized the two of them, and asked, "Do you know the backer of the man you hit earlier is?"
"Not even a king is allowed to touch my woman! He's just a backer, it wouldn't matter when I take him down." No matter who the person is, he wouldn't allow anyone to touch his Ally.
Nicholas's words scared Alicia out of her wits. "Nicholas?"
Frederick wrapped her in his arms and patted her shoulder as he said, "Don't worry!"
Nicholas gazed at him appreciatively before he said, "Since you're here, let's head over to my office to have a drink before you leave!"
The three of them walked over to the office which was located at the corner of the first floor.
As they entered the room, Nicholas looked at Alicia and said, "Why are you still here? Leave us to talk, you should go clean up and wait in the room!" "Oh..." After glancing at them, Alicia handed the coat back to Frederick before she walked towards the room.
As soon as they sat down, Nicholas brought out two glasses and a bottle of red wine.
"I know that my sister's a beauty. Although she's also mischievous that doesn't mean anyone can touch or bully her! Even if our family has fallen, she's still our little princess and I'm still her brother!"
"I know! If you want to dance, you've got to pay the fiddler! I know this well! I've married Alicia, so whatever happens, she is entirely my responsibility! I will never bully her!"
They raised their glasses and lightly clinked. Nicholas was utterly satisfied with his attitude.
"That man is Samuel Lautner and
he's famous in the neighborhood. He
has approached Ally a few times
already and he never carries any money with him. Eight out of ten working in clubs who piques his interest have never escaped his
clutches! His family runs a wooy
business and they aren't very wealthy. The crucial point is that he's the only child of the Lautner family. Samuel also has a second uncle who cares about him very much, his name is Malcom. It is said that he holds a high position in the security management of Casterwich City. The city's nightclub, hotel, and clubs are all under his control. Now it seems that he also has a side job, apparently, he's responsible for the taxes..."
Nicholas swirled the wine glass in his hand and squinted at Frederick, "Perhaps the Soaver International's finances will be looked over by tomorrow!" Frederick rolled his eyes and downed his glass of wine.
"So you called me in to listen to your sarcasm? All right, I know what to do! I'll deal with him! I'm taking Ally with me!"
Frederick put down his glass and stood up as he took a glance at Nicholas. "His appearance tonight can't be a coincidence. You brought him to the back hall on purpose, didn't you?"
Unquestionably, Nicholas had already done a background check on Samuel. Was he planning to use him to get rid of this eyesore?
Nicholas merely smiled and remained quiet, then raised his glass and drank the entire thing.
With a tacit comprehension, Frederick turned around and headed toward the room, "Let's just say that I'm returning a favor! If you ever need my help
in the future, just let me know!"
There wasn't a need to beat around the bush!
