Chapter 18
I was jolted awake by the icy cold water that was dumped onto me. Casping for air. I struggled to make sense of my surroundings. I could never get used to them dumping cold water on me to wake me up. It made no sense and I really thought that I wouldn’t have to go through this again since the last time.
“What’s happening?” I croaked, my voice hoarse and weak. I didn’t get enough sleep and the cell wasn’t exactly the most comfortable place to sleep either. I tried my best to always wake up early so they wouldn’t have to do this but I guess I overslept even in my discomfort.
“What’s happening?”1 asked again but there was to response. Instead, I was roughly yanked up from the ground, my arms twisted painfully behind my back. I was dragged through the halls, my feet stumbling as I tried to keep up with my captors punishing pace. The guards were never this rough with me.
I didn’t understand what was going on and the stern look on their faces made my heart beat really fast. I didn’t get it. I didn’t get why they were being so mean to me. I tried to think back to everything I did and didn’t do yesterday but nothing significant enough to get dragged violently like this was coming to mind.
When we reached the pack room, I was thrust forward, stumbling onto the hardwood floor. I did my best to shield my stomach from hitting the floor first and my twisted arm bore the brunt.
As I struggled to get my bearings, I looked up and saw Aston, his face twisted in fury. My heart plummeted into my stomach just thinking about what he intended to do to me. I was confused as hell. I needed some sort of explanation. I needed to least know what I did so I would know how to prepare myself for whatever was coming
“Kira” he growled, his voice laced with venom “You dare offer yourself up to my friend, to become his s***x slave?”
I blinked in confusion, struggling to comprehend what he was saying. I didn’t know if it was because of how hard I hit my head or how harshly I was woken up but his words were the most confusing thing ever. It was like he was speaking in another language. I couldn’t connect the dots but one thing I knew was that I was innocent
“What? No, I never-
But he cut me off, his voice rising to a roar. “You think you can betray me, and still walk away unharmed? How dare you try to get him to betray me?!
I was stunned, my mind racing as I tried to make sense of the accusations. How could this be happening? How could they think that I had tried to betray Aston?
I knew what he was talking about!
I finally got it!
That son of a b***h did this! That son of a bitch did this to me. This was all his doing. I needed to explain, I needed to let him understand that I was innocent but his eyes were blinded with rage, there was no time for an explanation. I just needed to get him to calm down first. To listen to me,
“Alpha, please,” I pleaded, my voice trembling with fear. “I think I know what you’re talking about but I swear it’s not the you understand it. It’s not what you think it is. I never offered myself up to your friend. I would never betray you!” I practically screamed at the top of my voice but my volume was not going to save me. Not now:
It was no use. The Alpha was beyond reason, his eyes wild with rage. He turned to the other Alpha, his friend, the son of a bitch that I met out at the garden, and said, “I want her punished Tied up and whipped.
“He was the one that came to me in the garden, he was the one that offered to take me off your hands. I didn’t go to meet him, I swear. I would never do such a thing I explained. It was not that I would never betray Aston, I just wouldn’t offer myself to someone who ate at the same table as him and that was what I was trying to get him to understand but he wasn’t listening to me.
He was completely ignoring me, almost like he couldn’t hear me
“And after that,” he continued with complete disregard for everything that I’d just said, his voice low and dangerous, “throw her into scalding hot water. If she survives, then she can consider it a mercy from the Moon Goddess.” He walked off and stopped right before he walked out the door.
“You must be delusional to think that anyone would ever want you and lying that he did was the most pathetic thing you could ever do. You just really think me stupid to believe such a lie. I’m going to make you regret every words that ever came out of your mouth. I’m not surprised anyway, your mate is the exact same thing, a traitor.” He walked off.
I felt the blood drain from my face as his words sank in. He was going to kill me. He was going to torture me, and then throw me into hot water to die.
I wanted to scream, to fight back, but I knew it would be useless. The Alphas had made up their minds, and nothing I said would change their decision. All because of this bastard that was now staring at me with a smirk on his face. I would be a fool to think that he actually liked me but I didn’t think he would go this far just because I refused his offer
I thought he was cool. I was such a fool.
I felt a hand on my arm, and I was dragged towards the centre of the room, where ropes were tied around my wrists and ankles. see me suffer.
I tried to struggle, to fight against the restraints, but it was no use. They were too strong, too determined to “Please.” I begged, my voice cracking with desperation. “Please, Aston, you have to believe me. I didn’t do anything wrong.” But Aston just turned away, his face hard and impassive.
“Take her away,” he ordered.
I was dragged out of the pack room, my body shuddering with sobs as I was hauled towards the dungeon.
I could hear the jeers and taunts of the pack members as we passed, their words stabbing into my heart like daggers.
“Look at her, crawling on the ground like the slave she is!”
“She’s getting what she deserves. Traitors should be punished.”
The words pierced my skin like knives, cutting deep into my soul. I wanted to scream at them, to tell them that they were wrong, that I was innocent.
But I knew it would be pointless. The pack had already made up their minds about me, and nothing I said would change their opinions.
As we reached the dungeon, I was shoved into a dark and damp cell, the stench of death and decay assaulting my senses.
I crumpled to the floor, my body shaking with terror and despair.
I knew that my time was running out. Soon, they would come for me, and I would face the torture and pain that Aston had promised.
But I would not give up. I would not surrender to the torture.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
As I huddled on the cold, hard floor of the cell, my mind raced with desperate plans and strategies.
knew that I had to find a way out, to escape from this prison before it was too late, before they would kill my baby and 1.
But how? The dungeon was guarded day and night, and even if I could manage to break free of my chains, there was no way to escape without being caught.
I closed my eyes, trying to block out the sound of my own racing heartbeat. I had to think, to find a way out of this. impossible situation.
I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves.
1 knew that I had to stay calm, to think clearly if I was going to survive this ordeal.
But as the minutes ticked by, I could feel the panic rising within me, the fear and desperation overwhelming my thoughts.
I wanted to cry, to scream, to rage against the injustice of my situation. But I knew that it would only make things worse.
So I remained silent, waiting for the inevitable moment when they would come for me. Tears rolled down my cheeks, I was so scared that it physically hurt. I didn’t know what to do. Escaping now only seemed like a futile plan that only lived in head. That I only used to make myself feel better but it didn’t seen to make me feel better now.
That son of a bitch has put me in so much trouble, turned me into a traitor and back at my pack, traitors were frowned upon. I could only imagine how bad I would have it here.
