“Because you are my love interest.”

Ryan couldn’t control himself when he uttered that statement. Hell, he couldn’t control himself when he saw her walking into the restaurant. She was drop dead gorgeous in the short gown she was putting on.

He couldn’t take his eyes off her. How she walked elegantly in the heels she was putting on. How her hips swinged from side to side as she walked. She was just perfect and it was enough to attract lustful stares from the men around.

He fumed within himself when he saw the other men staring at her as she walked in. His frown turned into a triumphant because their lustful stares turned to disappoint when they noticed she was walking towards him.

“In your faces idiots. She’s mine.” He thought to himself happily.

When she finally got to where he was, he was able to get a closer look at her and admire her rare beauty.

Six years had passed and she really didn’t change much. Everything about her was the same except that she had matured more than she was when he had first met her.

He couldn’t control himself so he kissed her on her knuckles. God knows that isn’t the only place he wanted to kiss. His body became hot when she shivered at his closeness to her.

He could feel his member twitch. She really didn’t have an idea of what she does to him. He held back himself from kissing her out there in the open and walked back to his seat after she had taken hers.

While they were talking, he couldn’t help but notice how she would furrow her brows when she was confused or curious and how her lips would curve when she was smiling.

Lord!! How he wish she was his. He couldn’t help but be drawn closer and closer to her.

“I have to make her mine or I would loose my mind.” He thought to himself as he watched her take a bite from her food elegantly.

Then he decided to break the silence. He just wanted to hear her talk and he got his heart desire. As always, her voice sounded like a sweet melody in his ears even when she was screaming at him.

“So how old are you? What do you do? Your hobbies? Your likes and dislikes and your taste in men?” He asked even though he already knew some of the answers. He just wanted to talk to her.

“I should be the one asking you that since you already know a lot about me.” She answered which made him smile.

“Some facts can be wrong.” He said.

“Some can be right. Besides you were able to find somethings about me.” She replied

“Well, valid point. So I’ll go first. I’m thirty seven years old.” He started and she almost snickered.

“Thirty seven? Never knew you are so old.” Natasha commented making him release a hearty laugh. His eyes brightened up when he saw her smile too.

“You are the first person to tell me to my face that I am old. It feels really embarrassing since it’s coming from you.” He said.

“Why?” She asked as she took another bite from her food.

“Because you are my love interest.” He didn’t know when he said that or why he did but he kept cool like he didn’t say anything surprising.

He wanted to take things slow but seeing her right now, looking this breathtaking made his heart race. The words just flew right out of his mouth.

His comment made Natasha’s eyes widen.

“He didn’t just say that.” She thought to herself.

She opened her mouth but no words could come out. She was really dumbstruck. It has been a very long time since someone confessed to her, talk more of being this open and direct so she didn’t know how to react to it.

“What did you just say?” She asked when she could finally say something.

“Same thing you just heard.” Ryan answered. She looked so cute being caught off guard. He couldn’t help but admire her the more.

“You are joking right? This must be a joke.” She said.

“Well, I’m not joking. I meant everything I said.” Ryan answered.

“I don’t believe it. We hardly know each other so it isn’t enough for you to start confessing feelings that you aren’t sure are real.” She said.

“We met six years ago.” Ryan reminded.

“It was just one night.”

“That one night was enough to stir feelings that I never knew I could have in me. Do you know how much I searched for you? How much I longed to be able to hold you in my arms again? How long I hoped to finally see you?” He asked as he held her hands that was resting on the table but she quickly untangled their hands.

“What you are feeling right now can’t be love. It might me lust.”

“It isn’t.”

“You can’t really tell the difference.” She said

“I know what I feel and it isn’t kust. I love you Natasha.” He answered sincerely.

He was pouring out his heart to her bit Natasha couldn’t see it.

“I’m sorry but I can’t accept your feelings for me.” She said.

“Why not?” Ryan asked. He already knew she would reject him but it still hurt.

“I just can’t. So sorry for wasting your precious time but I need to leave.” She said and was about to stand up but Ryan held her back, this time on her hand.

He noticed she hated being held by the wrist so he went for her hand. He didn’t want you ruin her mood.

“Don’t leave yet.” He said.

Seeing his expression, Natasha couldn’t bear to leave him there like that so she sat down which made him smile.

“Don’t get your hopes high. I’m only staying because of the food.” She lied so he would think she didn’t care. Her antic made him chuckle. He could tell that wasn’t the real reason.

“Instead of rejecting me right now, why don’t we try something else?” Ryan suggested.

“Whatever you say right now still won’t change my mind. I can’t accept your feelings.” Natasha said.

“But it still won’t hurt to give it a try. If you remain uninterested in me after what I suggest then, I’ll stop trying.” Ryan answered.

“Just accept my rejection now to save you from any heartbreak later on.” Natasha replied.

“I don’t give up at the first trial. Only when I’m out of options.” Ryan said.

“Okay then. What is this big plan you have prepared for me?” Natasha asked.

“I want you to go out on ten different dates with me.”

“Ten??”

“Yes.”

“I can’t do that.”

“Why not? Afraid you’ll fall for me before the last date.”

“Don’t flatter yourself. It’s just that ten is too much.”

“It isn’t. If you’re really sure that you won’t fall in love with me before the last date, just do it.”

“Fine.” She said after much hesitation.

“But I’ll be the one to schedule the date since I’m always busy at the hospital.”

“That only means I won’t get any dates with you. How about this, I’ll schedule the date when we are both free. Like on Saturday.” Ryan suggested.

“Okay. But I’ll have to pass this coming Saturday.” Natasha said.

“Why?”

“Family issues. Let’s reschedule the first one to Sunday.” She replied.

“Okay. I’m looking forward to our first date together.” Ryan said but Natasha just smiled in return.

“Just hope you don’t regret your decision later on.” She muttered.

“Don’t worry about me. I won’t.” Ryan answered.

After eating and chatting for more hours, they decided to retire back to their various houses. Ryan wanted to take Natasha home but she refused since she brought her own car.

He could only stand and watch her drive off. When she was out of sight, he decide to leave too. On the way to his car, he had a tingling feeling like someone was watching him so he turned back only to see a man dressed in black shorts and top witha black jacket to match.

The man was staring at him intently, more like glaring at him and balling his fists as if he had some kind of beef with him. Ryan wasn’t able to see his face because he was putting on a baseball cap and a face mask.

“Wierdo..” Ryan muttered and shook it off thinking he was some crazy guy so he entered his car and drove off. The unknown man didn’t stop staring at him until his car was out of sight.
