His Innocent Sera

Owned

He caught her unprepared with the question. She drew blank.

"Answer," he commanded, voice laced with authority.

"Mrs. Abel. She is a caretaker. I..I was walking alone so she offered me a ride to the bus stop," she lied, hoping he wouldn't see through. She was more afraid of his punishment than God's because his punishment will not be only for her but the other person too.

A momentary silence followed.

"Why the fuck are you out alone at this hour? Enjoying your freedom a little too much, ain't you?" he hissed, voice dripping with menace.

"No......I had extra work. I asked Dad to come but he couldn't. The bus stop isn't very.."

"Shut up," he cut her off sharply. Her lips pressed together. He continued in his usual commanding tone, "You will not leave your house after 10. I don't care if the world is on fire—your nonexistent ass stays inside."noveldrama

"Okay," she murmured, brows pulling together in a frown. Her bottom wasn't nonexistent like his brain, he needed his vision checked.

It is then something clicked.

"How did you know my..my location?" she dared ask, both confused and curious.

"You are my most precious slave. My possession. You really think I wouldn't be watching you?" he sneered, again cutting her deep with his words. She couldn't hold back her tears. All these years, he never once spoke with her with even a bit of kindness. She knew she was far below his standard but it didn't mean he had the right to derogate her over and over again.

"Every breath you take belongs to me, princess. Your mind, your soul and..." he paused, twisting the dagger of apprehension deeper into her stomach. An edge of dominance laced his voice, his tone thick with sheer possessiveness as he continued, "and your body. I own it all."

She felt her breath stutter. His claim of ownership on her wrapped around her like a constricting snake.

Perhaps, he had the right. Money buys you everything- from status, dreams to the right to insult others.

"It was because of your dad's mistake that our shipment got seized," Nathan claimed. His eyes exuded dark menace as they pinned her to the spot. Sera paled.

"That's not true," she denied his claim, her inside twisting into a tight knot. She shrunk back as he stepped forward, invading her personal space. His tall frame loomed over her like a shadow, threatening to swallow her whole.

"I just showed you the evidence, princess. Perhaps I should show it to my dad. Then you might believe it. The shipment was worth millions only a bullet to head can compensate the loss," he threatened, a devious smirk playing over his lips.

"No," she exclaimed, her beautiful eyes had grown large with horror. Cute. Now he could see his reflection even more clearly in her eyes.

"No?" he asked, raising a brow in question. He was amused.

"No," she answered, tears welled up in her eyes. Her dad had told her mother just how dangerous Killian Serrano was. He had killed countless people and he wouldn't hesitate to kill her father too.

Nathan cocked his head, his icy eyes shining with interest.

"I'll do as you say," he agreed before angling her chin up. His tender touch scorched her. His gaze bored into hers, dark with intent as he added, "But you'll also do as I say."

There was no negotiation. This was his demand and she'll have to agree to it if she wants her dad to live.

"Okay," she choked out, knowing very well this monster was up to no good. He smiled, pleased.

"Who do you belong to?" he questioned.

A teardrop escaped her eye as she replied, "You." She was only thirteen and he only a few years older. They were too young to be having this conversation. But this boy had no regard for their age. He demanded her all- from her surface to her very core.

"Good," he approved, gently brushing away her tears with his thumb.

"You will never refuse me for anything. If I tell you to do my homework, you'll do that. If I tell you to talk to me, you'll do that. I don't want to hear "no" from your beautiful mouth," he repeated the rules.

"I am not your slave," she protested, her eyes narrowing in defiance. Amusement lit up in his eyes.

"You are. Your dad is my dad's slave and you are mine," he declared, as if stating an undeniable fact.

"My dad isn't your dad's slave," she argued. His dad was an honest man, making his living by working for Killian.

"He is. So are you. Never forget your place, princess," he asserted, breaking her heart. He always made her feel so inferior, so trivial. As if they were not human but some insignificant bugs he couldn't wait to crush.

"You are cruel," she said, a thin sheen of tears gleaming in her eyes.

"Blame yourself for that. You bring that out of me," he answered, not at all remorseful.

She returned home to find the heap of empty pizza boxes crowding the table. Bits of crust and crumbs were strewn across the surface. A pang of guilt tightened in her chest-because of her extra workload, her family had to have pizza in dinner. She checked the refrigerator, assuming they must have save some for her but there was no extra packet or even a leftover slice.

With a sigh, she closed the door. They must have assumed she already had her dinner in oldage home.

After cleaning the living room, she went inside the kitchen to cook her something. She poured water to boil when Dyson entered the kitchen.

'What are you doing?' Dyson asked.

"I am making dinner," she replied.

"Why? I've saved you some pizza. You can have it," he said, setting down the box

on the counter before her.

Sera gaped at the Pizza box in astonishment.

"You saved me pizza," she exclaimed. His brother wouldn't share his food with anyone, let alone 'save.'

The boy shrugged, pushing himself up with effortless ease and settling onto the countertop.

"You saved me from dad last week. I though I also should save you... some pizza. We call it even now," Dyson replied. Sera smiled.

"What about the time I didn't tell him about you sneaking out of school?" She asked, teasing him. Her brother was completely opposite of her. She was calm, polite and he was a handful.

"Don't get greedy now," he rolled his eyes and jumped off the countertop.

"Goodnight, I am gonna take my beauty sleep now," Dyson left after that.

Sera returned to her room, carrying the pizza box. She opened it to eat when her phone buzzed.

Her eyes flared wide as she read the name flashing.

It was the video call by Nathan.
