Chapter 1390
“We’ve already done a paternity test.”
Aunt Cher’s suspicion was instantly denied and instead of feeling glad for them, she was furious and
worried, she was worried for Meredith and furious that the woman they despised became the long-lost heiress to the Hilton Family.

She had always known that she was adopted.
Every time her adoptive parents would get mad at her or beat her, though she could somehow manage. them with certain tricks, she would still think of her biological parents when she was alone.
She would picture their appearances, their personalities and background. She had thought that her real family was in deeper poverty than the ones in the slum, or they would not have abandoned her.
Some people even told her that she might have been abandoned because she was a girl instead of a boy.
The truth could not be more different than what she had imagined.
Her family was the powerful Hilton Family and when she found out that Beth and Marshall were her actual parents, she did not resent them, all she felt was bitterness and heartache.
Jeremy had mentioned that Beth suffered from depression after losing her daughter and needed medication to go to sleep at night. It took Beth years to slowly recover, and they had never stopped looking for their daughter, but their search bore no results throughout the years.
It was only reasonable that they failed to find her. No one would have expected that she had ended a slum.

“What exactly do you want?!” She roared.
“Why are you here? I thought you were recovering at the Hiltons?” Corentin locked her in place against his chest and narrowed his eyes as he studied her face.
“How is that any of your business?” Ashlynn was not In the mood for his games.
