Reclaiming My Broken Luna 2

Chapter 338: Legitimate Child

Asha's POV

I squared my shoulders as I faced my father, my eyes narrowing at him in anger.

I crossed my arms tightly over my chest, the weight of years of frustration and jealousy boiling to the surface.

My father simply stood before me, his usual composed demeanor tinged with a rare expression of exasperation, but I didn't care. Not anymore

"She doesn't even call you Father!" I spat, my voice trembling with anger.

"Not once in her life has Astrid ever acknowledged you as her father. And yet, you treat her like she's some prized treasure.

Why, Father? Because you feel guilty for neglecting her? She's just your illegitimate child! It's best that she realize she's not special!" I blurted out angrily.

Alpha Theron's jaw tightened, but he didn't speak. That silence — his silence — was what always drove me mad.

He would never defend himself, never justify his actions, as if I were the one being unreasonable. But I wasn't.

"She's ungrateful!" I continued, pacing back and forth as my emotions surged.

"She shows up only when she needs something from you, and you let her. Every single time, you let her.

You bend over backward for her, giving her everything, while I-" My voice broke despite my best efforts to keep it steady. "While I have spent my entire life proving my worth to you."

Alpha Theron exhaled slowly, his broad shoulders rising and falling. "Asha, this is not about worth. Astrid-"

"Don't!" I snapped, cutting him off. "Don't defend her to me. Don't pretend she's some innocent victim here. She's never been a part of this family. She doesn't want to be. All she cares about is what she can take from you. And you...you let her!"

I turned to face him fully, my hands clenched into fists at my sides. "You've always excused her behavior, Father. I don't really understand why!"

Alpha Theron's sharp gaze finally locked onto mine, and for a moment, I thought he might raise his voice. But he didn't.

He rarely did. Instead, his deep voice remained steady, a low rumble of authority. "Asha, that is enough."

"Enough?" I laughed bitterly. "No, Father. It's not enough. It's never enough. You should stop this, stop spoiling her and tolerating her disrespectful attitude.

His silence was deafeningand it made me curly my fist in anger like my words had no effect on him.

"She doesn't deserve this special treatment," I hissed. "She doesn't deserve your kindness or your forgiveness. She's a parasite, feeding off your guilt and your misplaced love."

"Asha," Alpha Theron said, his tone sharper now. "That is not the way to speak about your sister."

"She is not my sister!" I shouted, my voice echoing down the hallway. "She never has been, and she never will be."

Alpha Theron's expression darkened, his powerful presence filling the space between us. But I didn't flinch. Not this time.

"Look what she had done to both of us," I spoke more calmly this time after getting a hold on myself. "She's manipulating us... she has manipulated you—!noveldrama

"That's enough!" My father's voice boomed, silencing me mid-sentence.

I stepped back, startled. I had never seen him like this, his face contorted with anger, his shoulders tense.

But beneath the fury, there was something else. Pain. A deep, raw pain that I didn't understand.

"You think you know everything,

don't you?" His voice trembled, not with weakness but with the weight of something long buried. "You think you know who she is. Who I am Who you are. But you know nothing, Asha. Nothing!"

I faltered, my resolve crumbling under the force of his words.

"You think Astrid is an illegitimate child?" he continued, his voice rising with each word.

"She is not. She is my legitimate daughter. My true heir. The life you live, the title you carry - they were

you have your home, your position, your privilege - it should have belonged to Astrid!"

not yours, they were hers,& get

My lips curled in anger. "Hers?" I repeated. "She is a child born out of wedlock. At most, she could be called as a home wrecker."

His gaze hardened, his eyes glassy with unshed tears, and when he spoke again, his voice was softer but no less devastating.

"Astrid's mother... she was my mate. My one true mate. And Astrid... Astrid is the daughter of that bond. She is my rightful child, my firstborn, and my most legitimate child."

My mind reeled, struggling to make sense of his words. "W-what are you saying whispered, barely able to get the words out. "What about mother? You married her. She was the Pack's Luna-!"

"Your mother,” he interrupted, his voice cracking, "was not my mate."

My breath caught in my throat, my heart hammering painfully against my ribs. I shook my head in disbelief. This doesn't make any sense.

"You know your uncle, my older brother. You know what happened to him, right?" Father asked me carefully as if preparing me for the next revelation.

I didn't answer. I remained silent, my gaze was anywhere but him.

My uncle died before my older brother Andros was even born. I never had the chance to meet him, I only know that he was killed because of an accident.

As the eldest, he used to be the Alpha of this Pack, but when he died, my father naturally inherited the title and became the Alpha of the Pack.

"Your mother's real mate is not me. She is my older brother's mate," My father continued, knocking out the air inside my lungs.
