Revenge is Best Served… After Reborn

Chapter 1437

"Are you kidding me? A terabyte of data?!"

Adler was in disbelief as he booted up his computer. "Why on earth did Kena send Sophie this mountain of files? It's like she dumped the entire Gibbs family archive on us. How am I supposed to sort through all of this?"Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Well, who else around here can handle it like you can?" Jenna replied, casually painting her nails at her desk. "Don't worry, I'll keep you company. Sophie and Colby are still out chasing leads on Odie's disappearance. It's been twelve hours already; no wonder they're on edge."

"Yeah, but dumping all these files on me? Finding anything about The Silent Shadows in this mess is like hunting for a needle in a haystack. You think Kena's trying to slow us down on purpose?"

"Give it a rest," Jenna said. "Kena's trying to help. Don't make her out to be the villain."

"Are you sure? Back in Summerfield, she tricked Sophie more than once. I mean, Sophie's sharp as a tack, and she still got played by Kena twice. That girl is no pushover."

Jenna paused her nail painting. "Now that you mention it, you might be onto something."

"See? I'm telling you, there's something fishy about her!"

"Not so fast. Kena was Daniel's illegitimate daughter, always under Odie's control. Sophie helped her out. If it wasn't for Sophie, Kena wouldn't have become the head of the Gibbs family. Plus, without Odie's interference, she wouldn't have held onto her position." "That's true."

"Let's not jump to conclusions. That girl's been through a lot growing up in Summerfield," Jenna said, nodding. "Anyway, let's dive into the Gibbs family files and see if we can dig up anything about The Silent Shadows. We need to figure out where they're coming from." "On it!"

Meanwhile, over at Aldridge Global-

Harold strode out of the conference room, flanked by Aldridge Global's top brass. In less than a month, he'd taken the reins of the Aldridge family business with swift, decisive moves, dealing with folks Gordon couldn't touch while he was in charge. In just a few days, Aldridge Global was humming with fresh energy.

Harold had firmly planted himself at the company's helm.

Just then, Secretary Weeks hurried over, handing Harold his phone. "Mr. Aldridge, Ms. Sophie is calling."

Harold took the call. "I've tapped into the Aldridge family's intel network. Just got a tip that Odie's probably not in Devonport. A private jet took off from the airport yesterday. If my team can't find Odie in Devonport, he's likely been whisked away."

"Did they track the jet's flight plan?"

"Yep, overseas," Harold replied. "He's probably overseas. I've booked your tickets The flight leaves in an hour, so head to Summerfield Airport now, and you'll make it."

"Thanks a bunch."

With that lead, Sophie and Colby jumped on a flight headed overseas.

In the shadowy recesses of an overseas casino, Odie was suspended in mid-air, his white shirt soaked with blood, his body battered and bruised.
