The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison)

Chapter 417

Chapter 417

“Mr. Simonds, this is the coffee Allison got for everyone.”

Mr. Simonds took the coffee and nodded. They had been shooting all day, and should have wrapped

up earlier. Everyone was dead tired and running on empty. A cup of coffee was just the pick–me–up

they needed. He took a sip and asked, “Allison?”

The assistant replied, “The one playing Olivi. She’s with Epic Entertainment.”

Mr. Simonds shot the assistant a look, “I’ve been working with her for a week now, how could I not

know?” He lifted his head and looked at the girl sitting in the distance with Mia. She was gentle and

serene, with a delicate and beautiful face that was very captivating.

Mr. Simonds‘ gaze lingered on her for a good 20 seconds before he looked away. The last time he

gazed at an actress like this was when he was looking at a particularly popular big celebrity.

“Pretty good.”

The assistant thought he had misheard, “What?”

Mr. Simonds repeated, “I didn’t expect a company like Epic Entertainment to have decent talent.”

The assistant didn’t expect the blunt Mr. Simonds to give such high praise to Allison. But Allison was

indeed outstanding. The assistant took a sip of his coffee, amongst all the actors, only Allison had

offered to get them coffee.

She was always on time, never flubbed her lines, and she even knew her co–star’s lines by heart.

Mr. Simonds sipped his coffee, finding it quite invigorating and effective at alleviating fatigue. He Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

reminisced about his initial impression of Allison. The first time he saw her, she entered the set without

any assistants or staff by her side. She was just carrying bag with a water bottle, an umbrella, a small

fan, and some odds and ends in it. She didn’t even have her script with her.

While the other actors were memorizing their lines, she was on her phone. He was a bit disdainful,

thinking non–professionals were just unprofessional. She couldn’t really think acting was as simple as

posing for a magazine, could she? Just needing a pretty face.

But when they actually started filming, he was surprised. Because Allison had already memorized the

script, even her co–star’s lines. That was when he changed his view of her.

He felt regret that such a talented actress was not being properly utilized at Epic Entertainment. They

only offered her a supporting role. The entertainment industry was complex; being pretty and talented

didn’t mean anything without a powerful backing. Like Allison, no matter how pretty and talented she

was, without a solid backing, she was stuck playing minor roles in a large agency.

Mr. Simonds shook his head with a sigh.

Allison was reading, unaware that she was seen by the director and her co–stars as a talented and

beautiful actress who lacked a powerful backing and was stuck playing supporting roles.

“Allison, your phone is ringing, Patty is calling.” Lola handed Allison her phone.

Allison took it and said, “Hello, Patty.”

Patty asked, “Are you still on set?”

“Yep.”

“I heard Sadie is late.”

Allison confirmed, “Yeah, she hasn’t arrived yet, it’s been…” she glanced at her watch, “She’s 58

minutes late.”

Patty on the other end said, “Is she wasting your time? If you need to leave, just go. I’ll explain to the

crew.”

Allison shrugged and sighed. Time had indeed been wasted, but she had already requested time off

from Mr. Lindberg, so it should be fine. “Sadie should be here soon, I heard it’s because of traffic. I

don’t have anything else to do, the other actors and crew are waiting too, so I’ll wait a bit longer.”

“Okay, call me if you need anything.” Patty was about to hang up when she remembered something,

“Well, by the way, has Charlie contacted you recently?”

Charlie? Wasn’t he Penelope’s agent?
