The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison)

Chapter 418

Chapter 418

Allison asked in a low voice, “What’s up, Patty?”

“I was just thinking… maybe I’m overthinking this. I heard Penelope is in the hospital, and her agent

Charlie seems to have a lot of free time. She doesn’t have any other A–list artists, and for this film, I

gave you the leading role, but you chose a supporting one. I was wondering, did I do something

wrong?”

Even though Patty’s words were gentle, Allison got the jist of it. “So you’re thinking that since Penelope

is in the hospital, and Charlie doesn’t have any top tiers artists to manage, she might come to me,

right?” Allison asked.

Patty replied, “I do tend to overthink things.”

Allison laughed lightly, “I chose the supporting female role in this show because I thought the character

was pretty good. Plus, I just started acting and I like to take it step by step. I don’t like to rely on the big

bucks behind me to pick roles. You should know that when I choose roles, I only pick what suits me. I

don’t think I could handle the leading female role in this show. That’s why I turned it down, not because

I want to get close to Charlie.”

Patty sighed in relief, “Hearing you say that makes me fee! better.” All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Allison responded, “Patty, I’ve always enjoyed working with you. And I trust you a lot.”

“Alright, I won’t take up any more of your time. Let’s grab dinner together this weekend if you’re free.”

Patty hung up the phone and took,a long breath. After all, Allison had Lucian backing her up, although

not many people knew this, she was one of them.

Allison seemed gentle and soft, but she was thoughtful and meticulous. Her words eased Patty’s

worries. Looked like she was overthinking it.

But she couldn’t help but overthink. There were two actresses related to Lucian, one was his fiancée

Penelope, and Penelope chose Charlie as her agent. The other was his lover, Allison.

Obviously, Lucian invested more in Allison, and Allison chose Patty.

Now Penelope suddenly got hospitalized, and she needed at least half a year to recover from multiple

fractures. The engagement between the Flanagan family and the Lindberg family became chaotic, and

only the two families knew about it, outsiders had no way of knowing.

Recent public opinion developed rapidly, Patty had to keep an eye on the trends, and Charlie was

running around like a headless chicken. If something happened to Penelope, then Charlie would lose

her top star, and naturally she would lean towards Allison.

Patty was worried that Charlie would want to get closer to Allison, so she was afraid that Charlie might

sway Allison.

With the resource she had personally selected for Allison, and yet Allison declined and asked to play a

supporting female role, it made her start to overthink things. However, Allison’s firm and gentle

response dispelled her worries, and reassured her.

This Allison, she was really something.

Patty noticed that this woman had a striking resemblance to Penelope and was often seen

accompanying Lucian. That was when she realized that Allison wasn’t as gentle and quiet as she

appeared on the surface.

At 6:50 PM, a black Maybach was driving down the street.

Lucian checked the address that Shawn sent him and started the navigation to the destination. He

quickly arrived at the film set, wanted to call Allison to let her know he was there, but suddenly wanted

to see what she looked like at work.

There were many people around the library, but they were all stopped by the crew. Only those with

work permits could enter and exit. Lucian made a call and waited at the door for two minutes. A man in

crew uniform came over, hunched over and sweating.

After all, no one knew that this big shot would show up, he said, “Mr. Lindberg, I really didn’t know you

were coming, you didn’t let me know in advance, I could’ve prepared. I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”

Lucian glanced at the time, “It’s already 7 o’clock, the crew hasn’t finished shooting yet?”

The man was Mr. Sears from the crew, a deputy general manager of Epic Entertainment. He rarely had

the chance to see Lucian, and now that he was meeting him for the first time, he was sweating bullets

and extremely nervous.

He didn’t know what he had done wrong. This production didn’t have a large budget, and it wasn’t top–

tier. The fact that someone as prominent as Lucian was involved had him wondering what was going

on.
