The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold)

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

No wonder they had to resort to artificial insemination to have a baby, rather than the natural way.

Probably there are some S**ual problems in their relationship.

Laura whispered, “That girl is gone, probably forever. If you can win Mr. Leopold’s heart and replace

Ms. Elowen by your children, it’s not entirely impossible.”

Aurelia wouldn’t dare to try; she didn’t have the confidence, nor the courage.

One was an upper class girl, the other was the moonlight lover of his life, while she herself was just an

ordinary girl who, even after a hundred years of hard work, could never replace them.

“Laura, I’m just an average person. I can’t be a part of the high society. As long as Mr. Leopold treats our children well, I’m satisfied.”

A vessel should be aware of its limits and not overreach.

Her partner in the future should be someone from her own social class, someone who loves and

respects her.

Laura wanted to say something but held her tongue, sighing silently instead.

After a casual chat, Aurelia was pretty sure that Elowen was the one who had been bad–mouthing her,

with Kelly as her accomplice.

Elowen was probably suspicious about the “miscarriage procedure“, and this was her way of probing.

Aurelia thought she couldn’t just sit and wait for the worst to happen. She had to do something.

She sat on the couch and scrolled through Facebook for a while.

Someone posted a poster: Arno’s Photography Exhibition.

The date was tomorrow.

Arno!

A top–tier global photographer, every single one of his photos was a collectible masterpiece.

Seeing his name, Aurelia’s heart fluttered, like a string plucked on a guitar, her thoughts drifting into the Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

distance…

The next day at lunch, she visited the exhibition hall, which was only two subway stops away from the

office.

The hall was packed with fans who had come in admiration of Arno’s work.

Aurelia’s gaze fell on a particular photo, her eyes widening in surprise.

In the photo, a girl’s side face was bathed in sunlight, her hair blowing in the wind, looking like an angel

descended from heaven.

“This is a treasure from my collection years ago, she is the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.”

A deep and magnetic voice came from beside her, causing Aurelia’s heart to flutter. She turned

abruptly.

A face as perfect as a piece of fine work met her gaze.

“Hey, Aurelia, long time no see.”

The man’s charming smile felt like a ray of long–lost sunshine into Aurelia’s silent heart.

“Is it really you? I thought it was someone else with the same name.”

“I guess I’m the only photographer named Arno.” Arno shrugged. “As the subject of the photo, I hope

you don’t mind that I exhibited it.”

Aurelia chuckled, “I don’t mind. I’ve already transferred the image rights to you.”

She and Arno had met on a trip three years ago and had lost contact since then. She never thought

she would see him again in Elysium, let alone at a photography exhibition.

Then, a group of photography association fans ran over and surrounded Arno, asking for autographs

and photos.

Aurelia was pushed to the side, only able to watch him from a distance.

She remembered trying to call him after the trip ended, but his phone was always off.

He probably didn’t want to keep in touch. To him, she wasn’t even a friend, was she?

She lowered her head, smiled and turned to leave.

“Aurelia-”

She had just reached the door when Arno caught up with her.

“Sorry for being so busy today. Can we exchange contact numbers? We should catch up sometime.”

“Sure.” Aurelia took out her phone, added his number, and left.

He probably only suggested catching up out of politeness.

He was a renowned photographer, and she was just an unknown designer. The gap between them

was significant.

She had to work harder. One day, she would become a shining star in the world of jewelry design,

making everyone who ever looked down on her gaze in awe.

Keep going, Aurelia!

The weekend marked the release of Astral Enterprises‘ new “Floral Language” series.

This was Leopold’s first product launch since he took over the company.

For Aurelia, the event also held significant meaning. Although she wasn’t the named designer, she had

personally designed every single piece in the collection.

Kelly sat in the spotlight as the chief designer, while Aurelia was tucked away in a corner, unnoticed by

everyone.

Leopold arrived with Elowen.

He was dressed in a custom–made midnight blue suit, his 6’2” height, perfect body proportions making

even top models pale in comparison.

Aurelia had to admit, he was a man who broke all aesthetic limits. His handsome face was perfect from

every angle, with not a single flaw to be found even under a magnifying glass.

Elowen was wearing a couture dress from Versace, and the pink diamond necklace around her neck

was particularly eye–catching. It was the engagement gift from Chad.

Aurelia subconsciously leaned back, disappearing into the shadows.

Even though Leopold didn’t like Elowen, he would probably still marry her. After all, they were from

similar social backgrounds and their families were close.

The new designs from Astral Enterprises were astonishingly beautiful.

Kelly stood on stage, basking in the applause, flowers, and praise.

Aurelia watched her intently, her gaze gradually darkening, like being enveloped by a cold night.

After the launch was the celebratory banquet.

Aurelia was walking down the hallway outside the banquet hall, holding a folder.

Leopold was approaching from the opposite direction.

Today, Aurelia was wearing a goose yellow long dress, her hair done up in a simple bun. She was not

wearing makeup, but her natural beauty was radiant.

Leopold’s gaze paused for a moment.

“Hello, Mr. Leopold!”

She greeted politely and walked past without stopping.

As they crossed paths, a document fell from her folder.

Leopold glanced at it and halted in his tracks.
