Chapter 215
Chapter 215
When Cordelia woke up, Ronan was right by her side.
She was lying in bed, and her pillow was completely soaked.
After waking up, she started to recall the events before she passed out.
She wasn't sure how many days she had been out cold.
It all felt like a dream to her.
"I need to call Shelley." Her hand groped for her phone, but couldn't find it.
She wanted to make sure Shelley was at home.
Shelley must be at home and she would call her for dinner. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
But she couldn't find her phone.
"Can I borrow your phone to call Shelley?" Cordelia asked Ronan, "I want to know what she is doing at
home."
"Cordelia." Ronan said softly, "Don't do this."
"I just want to call Shelley, did I do something wrong? Is it too much to call her?" Cordelia laughed while
saying this, but tears streamed down her face.
She looked truly pitiful.
"You should get some rest." Ronan said.
"Shelley is fine at home, right?" She asked, tears pooling in her eyes as she stared intensely at Ronan.
Shelley had passed away, and Cordelia was acting like she had lost her mind.
She had only caught a glimpse of what happened that day. Even though it left a deep impression, she
was convinced it was just a dream. It had to be a dream.
Shelley was safe and sound. How could she possibly have fallen from such a high place?
Moreover, how could both Castiel and Shelley fall from a high place? If Castiel was like that, Shelley
definitely wouldn't be.
Besides, Shelley was supposed to remodel a room for Adrian. She couldn't possibly just fall down. It
was impossible.
"Is Shelley at home?" Cordelia suddenly gripped Ronan's arm tightly and asked loudly.
"Yes, she's fine. You lie down and rest, I'll handle the rest." Ronan said.
Cordelia felt it getting harder to breathe.
"Where were you that day?" Cordelia's thoughts were a bit jumbled, as she asked him.
"Which day?" Ronan asked.
"The day I took a taxi to Sunridge Estates, were you there too? I think I saw you." Cordelia was hoping
it was all a dream, all a lie.
"I was at the company." Ronan answered.
Cordelia let out a sigh of relief, "I knew it was a dream. Tell Shelley to call me."
"Alright, you rest first." Ronan said.
Cordelia placed Ronan's hand on her chest, then she fell asleep.
She didn't know that she had been asleep for three days.
During these three days, Cordelia was speaking nonsensically, constantly dreaming. In her dreams,
Shelley bought her new clothes. She was playing with Adrian, and got a hundred percent on her test.
Shelley rewarded her.
It was raining in her dream, she was cooking for Castiel at home. Shelley was patching her backpack
when Castiel came home. He didn't have an umbrella or a raincoat. After he came in, Cordelia scolded
him, "How come you don't have an umbrella or a raincoat again, I'm gonna get mad."
Cordelia said all these things, but she was just talking nonsense.
Her mouth kept calling out Mom. It was heartbreaking.
Cordelia fell asleep again for a while, but she couldn't sleep well. She felt hungry.
"I'm hungry." She told Ronan.
"I'll have Janice prepare something for you." After Ronan said this, he went downstairs.
Cordelia got up to look for her phone, but she couldn't find it.
How come there wasn't a single phone in the room?
"What are you looking for?" Ronan came in, frowning at her.
"I'm looking for my phone." Cordelia's voice sounded weak. Her face was still wet with tears, and she
looked like she had lost all spirit.
"Weren't you going to eat and rest?" Ronan asked her, "Eat first, then look for your phone."
"Um, okay." Cordelia responded absentmindedly, "What did Janice prepare for me?"
"I don't know, we'll find out soon." Ronan sat down beside Cordelia, speaking calmly.
Janice brought up the food. It was seafood cream pasta and Italian toasted bread.
"Janice, do you know how to make bolognese? If you do, how about I invite Shelley to have some next
time?" Cordelia asked Janice expectantly.
"Huh?" Janice looked surprised. She glanced at Cordelia, "You better eat something,. You haven't
eaten for days."
Ronan gave Janice a reproachful look. His eyes seemed to say, mind her own business!
Janice originally wanted to make bolognese for Cordelia, but Ronan didn't allow it.
Janice felt like she had made a big mistake. She quickly said, "I'll go downstairs first."
"Have I been sleeping for several days?" Cordelia asked Ronan.
Cordelia's rationality gradually recovered, if she really had been sleeping for several days, then what
happened that day wasn't a dream.
It really happened.
"Not that long." Ronan said.
"Give me the phone. I want to call Shelley." Cordelia reached out for the phone.
If nothing was wrong, Ronan wouldn't take away her phone.
"Eat first." Ronan insisted.
"Where are Amanda and Olen?" Cordelia asked him again.
"I asked them to go back to Canada first." Ronan said.
Cordelia had a bad feeling, "Why did they go back to Canada? What happened?"
"They would only make things worse if they stayed here!" Ronan said.
"I need to make a call!" Cordelia's voice rose.
"No!" Ronan frowned, "The phone is not here."
"I need to make a call!" Cordelia suddenly got up from the bed, "Did Shelley fall from the building? Why
were you upstairs when Shelley fell? What were you doing there? Shelley had no reason to commit
suicide. How did she fall? You must have seen it. Tell me!"
Cordelia's voice was hoarse and raspy.
