Chapter 272
Silas' face went ashen. When he thought things couldn't get worse, he practically walked into their hands. His breath grew shallow as he desperately tried not to attract any attention. Matthew watched Silas' growing panic and couldn't help but smirk. He almost laughed and regretted his decision to bring Silas along.
Sara found the information, and her face lit up with excitement. "Send me all your detailed information about Silas. It would be best if there was a photo. I want to find him as soon as possible." The man on the other end of the phone replied, "If there is a photo, I will send it to you immediately."
Silas' face turned even paler. A photo? What was he going to do now?
He couldn't make a sudden exit without drawing attention. While holding his breath, he remained perfectly still and mentally chanted, "Don't notice me. Act like I'm not here."
Matthew moved closer to block Sara's view of Silas. He wasn't intimidated by her but preferred to avoid unnecessary troubles.
Suddenly, her phone chimed with a notification. She looked at the screen and saw two photos pop up.
The first photo showed Silas with unkempt hair and tattered clothes from his days of scavenging. The second photo showed him with a clean haircut and fresh clothes, looking sharp and sophisticated. Sara frowned in confusion. "Is this really the same person?"
Matthew glanced at the photos, and his lips twitched. The outfit in the second photo matched exactly what Silas was wearing right now.
She only had to look up to see Silas standing right there.
Upon hearing Sara's confusion, Rachel stepped closer to look at the photos. She looked at the first photo and said, "Why does he look like a street beggar? A descendant of a doctor should be more refined." Sara said softly, "It's not unusual for traditional medicine practitioners to fall on hard times. But the second photo makes him look like a completely different person compared to the first."
When Rachel looked at the second photo, doubt flickered in her eyes. She glanced up at Silas standing behind Matthew, then back down at the photo. The resemblance was uncanny. She gasped, "He... he's Silas Solomon, right?"
Her exclamation echoed through the room and triggered a mix of reactions from everyone.noveldrama
Silas was startled and wanted to turn around and flee, but he knew there was no escaping the building.
He fought the urge to run and held on to a sliver of hope pinned on Matthew. He couldn't quite explain why, but he trusted Matthew as his unlikely savior from the Eastorians.

When Sara heard that, she looked up at Silas. She instantly recognized him, and her face lit up with joy. "You found him?"
Rachel assumed Matthew had
tracked Sitas down. So, she quickly seized the moment to commend
him. "Matthew found him. It looks like he really cares about you."

Sara glanced at Matthew, and her face flushed as she recalled the spanking she'd received. Nonetheless, she knew she had to address the matter. Clearing her throat, she said, "Since he went through so much trouble to find him, I'm rewarding him with 100 thousand dollars."
Silas' heart sank upon hearing that. It hit him that Matthew had brought him here for the reward. He could hardly believe it, but the reality was undeniable. Was this really why Matthew risked everything to save him from the Eastorians?
Matthew's face showed a mix of emotions. He was about to cause Rachel some trouble. He cleared his throat and said, "I don't need 100 thousand dollars."
Sara looked at him curiously. He
was just a chauffeur, yet he thought the reward wasn't enough. She wasn't short on cash. For her, spending a bit more to avoid extra headaches was worth it.
"Alright, I'll give you 500 thousand dollars. That's probably what you'd make in ten years."
Matthew said calmly, "It's not about the money."
Was he still not satisfied?
