Chapter 507
When the blade was drawn, it reflected the glaring headlights of the cars as it headed straight toward Matthew's neck.
A loud thud suddenly rang out. Lester felt like he was hit by a truck with his figure knocked back ten feet. Then, he hit the ground like a sack of potatoes.
A footprint had been imprinted on his chest. Sharp bone fragments ripped through his skin and clothes like blades and bloodied white bone stuck out.
Lester clenched his teeth in immense pain and stared at Mathew in shock. "You couldn't even handle Dominic, right? How did this happen?"
Besides Lester, Dominic was even more surprised as he gaped at Matthew. How did Lester lose? That should be impossible.
Leo and Lucien had their jaws dropped. They were convinced that Matthew was a goner and had already pulled out their phones to report the situation to Brad.
Right when they had just taken out their phone, Matthew had already defeated Lester in one single blow.
The dozen or so people behind Lester were flabbergasted with their eyes wide open. They were stupefied by the unexpected turn of events.
Matthew slowly made his way toward Lester. "That was just Dominic's haughty assumption."
Lester was still in disbelief. "I wielded a blade, and you're bare-handed. How did you manage to defeat me?"
Matthew coldly remarked, "You're too weak, so you don't even deserve an explanation."noveldrama
Lester's face was as white as a sheet. He thought Matthew wasn't in his league. Little did he know, the real weakling was himself. To make matters worse, he wasn't even worth Matthew's time to explain anything to him.
Lester held the wound on his chest with his body shaking violently. Blood spilled from his mouth, and his eyes looked like they were bulging out of their sockets.
His body kept twitching involuntarily. The agony was too much to bear, and deep roars slipped from this mouth.
Matthew walked up to Lester and crouched to pick up Lester's blade. He stepped over Lester and started walking toward the rest of the group, who were armed with sharp weapons.
Blood spurted from Lester's mouth as he was being stepped on. His body convulsed for a while long before going completely still.
The elite soldiers held their blades as they watched Matthew approaching. One of them suddenly shouted, "Go at him together!"
The group swung their weapons and charged toward Matthew. A series of clangs filled the air as weapons collided. Sparks flew in all directions with a figure daring around in the chaotic battle.
It didn't take long for the silence to return. A dozen men lay scattered on the ground, while only Matthew remained standing, holding the blade.
The blade seemed as though it was extracted from a pool of blood. Blood steadily dripped from it. The corpses had the same fatal wound in their throat. Their deaths were eerily identical.
Night breeze swept through them, carrying a pungent stench of blood so strong
that it made people nauseous.
Dominic, Leo,
and Lucien seemed to
be frozen by a spell. They were
rooted in their spots as they blankly
stared at Matthew. In particular,
Dominic glued his eyes on Matthew, unable to look away.
With the blade in his hand, Matthew stood among the bodies, like an unstoppable god of war. The sight filled his blood with adrenaline. This was the image he had always
med of becoming.
As Matthew relaxed his grip, the blade slipped from his hand and hit the concrete
floor, making a sharp clinking noise.
Matthew dusted off his hand before heading over to Dominic and the others. He instructed, "Take care of the bodies and clean up the scene."
Upon hearing the order, Leo moved without thinking and immediately started disposing of the bodies. Lucien quietly got to work too.
With his hand on his wound, Dominic looked at Matthew's cold expression. He wanted to say he was hurt but didn't dare to speak up.
Holding his wound with one hand, Dominic staggered forward as he tried to help clean up.
Matthew furrowed his brows. "Do you like cleaning so much?"
Dominic's face twitched slightly. He had planned to seize the moment when Matthew asked him to clean to teach Matthew a lesson.
But Dominic never imagined Matthew was this strong. The latter was so formidable that Dominic instinctively obeyed, without any resistance.
Upon hearing Matthew's words, Dominic stopped in his tracks. Matthew snorted. "You're hurt. Take it easy."
The pain from his injury was too much for Matthew to handle, so he leaned against the car, unable to move.
Matthew shook his head as he watched. "Do you want me to check your wound, you brat?"
Brat? Dominic winced in pain. He was baffled by how Matthew called him. "Are you talking to me?"
Matthew went over to assess Dominic's wound. Recalling there was a first aid kit
in the car's trunk, he grabbed it and came back to treat Dominic.
He teased, "That's right. You're a privileged brat from a military family. If I don't call you a brat, what do you expect me to call you?"
What do you think?
