Triplets on Secret Mission

Chapter 1542

Chapter 1542

"I miss you guys too."

Molly's voice choked with emotion.

She sniffled and turned to look at Sean.

Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, which was enough to make everyone's heart ache.

Sean felt a tug at his heartstrings. The corners of his mouth lifted into a gentle smile. "I knew you missed them, so I asked Mr. Ballard to bring them along." Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

Mr. Ballard came up and chuckled at the sight of how the three little ones clung to Molly. "These kids kept asking 'are we there yet?' the whole way here. My ears are practically calloused."

"Thank you for bringing them over."

Molly looked at him gratefully.

Mr. Ballard pretended to scowl at her. "I'm your teacher, remember?"

Molly smiled. "Yeah."

She wiped away a tear and took Alex and Ben by the hand.

As for Claudia, she let Sean hold her.

Mr. Ballard smiled, pleased. Then he asked, "Is everything going well here?"

Molly nodded. "Yeah. We rescued Logan. He's no longer under the control of the research base."

The news surprised and delighted the old man. "That's wonderful. He is finally free."

Seeing him so happy, Molly felt that all their efforts had been worth it.

"Are you feeling well?"

She asked and then added apologetically, "That was a long trip for you."

"Silly girl," Mr. Ballard chided gently. "Don't worry about me. We're family, and that's what I do."

Molly smiled. "You're right."

"That's more like it."

"Let's go back and talk," Sean chimed in.

Mr. Ballard nodded in agreement. "Yeah. It's not safe to stay here."

Even though it was an abandoned port, the entire island was still under the control of the martial art union. There was no telling if someone might suddenly appear.

So, the group made their way back to their residence.

Claudia hadn't seen Molly for some time and clung to Molly the moment she got into the car. She hugged Molly's arm tightly, as if afraid Molly might disappear.

Molly’s heart warmed with affection, but she also felt guilty for leaving them behind.

Alex and Ben chattered away about their time at the Grandset. Their voices filled the car.

When they arrived home, Claudia was exhausted and fell asleep in Molly's arms.

"I'll carry her upstairs. You can stay with Mr. Ballard and talk."

He scooped up Claudia and motioned for the two boys to follow him upstairs.

Once they were all upstairs, Molly accompanied Mr. Ballard to the living room and sat down.

Mr. Ballard looked around and smiled. "This is a nice place."

"It's not bad."

Molly pursed her lips and continued, "But it's not as comfortable as being at home."

"Of course not."

Mr. Ballard looked at her fondly, saying, "Thankfully, you're fine. Otherwise, Sean would have gone crazy."

Molly smiled. "It's all thanks to Sean. If he hadn't come for me, I wouldn't have gotten out so quickly."

They chatted for a while before Mr. Ballard changed the subject.

"Where are Logan and Lesley?" he asked.

Molly honestly filled him in on Logan's current situation.

"So, he doesn't live here?"

Mr. Ballard was eager to see Logan.

"It's not safe here yet, so he's staying in the underground lab for now."

Sean came downstairs after settling the children. He overheard their conversation and spoke up. "We'll have someone pick up Lesley and Logan for dinner tonight."
