Chapter 264
Chapter 264
Jensen stepped on the accelerator. When he reached the entrance, he braked, shut the engine off, and
quickly hopped off the car.
He moved in a flash.
Alice and Simon seemed to be in a fight. However, Simon was just dodging and hadn't laid a hand on
Alice.
Alice was so enraged that every kick of hers was sharp and showed no mercy at all.
Simon was on high alert and was careful not to hurt Alice. After all, she was Grace's sister. If not, his
attempt to get back Grace would be futile.
He had been condoning to Alice.
Yet Alice kept making it hard for him and was forcing him to make his move.
Having his hands tied, Simon just wanted to end it as soon as possible. He lifted his leg and gave a
light tread, which almost tripped Alice over.
Jensen saw it and immediately shouted, "What's going on?"
His appearance did not stop them.
After regaining her balance, Alice made another move.
"Alice?" Jensen was stunned. "What's wrong?"
"I'm giving this b*stard who harassed my sister a lesson." Alice shouted at Jensen indignantly, "A
married man no less."
Jensen was confused. "Isn't he Marry's husband?"
Alice stopped and glanced at Jensen unhappily.
Jensen felt something was wrong and quickly asked in a serious tone, "What happened?"
Simon looked at Jensen's direction and frowned, "It's our family affairs. None of your business."
Jensen was not pleased with his response. He said coldly, "Your family affair? As far as I know, your
family affairs should involve Marry Smith. Instead, you're here harassing Grace, I can't turn a blind eye
to it."
Simon said unpleasantly, "Do whatever you want."
He knew that there was no chance for him to talk to Grace at this point in time, so he turned around
and left.
"Now you want to leave?" Alice said while blocking his way. "If you're a man, please don't give Grace a
hard time anymore. If not, I don't know what I would do to bring you down."
Simon pursed his lips and said, "I'll take care of it with Grace. You've no right to meddle in it."
Without waiting for her response, he walked away.
Alice stomped her feet on the ground with outrage. She was aware that she was no match for Simon,
given that he used to be a taekwondo instructor.
Simon used to be a member of the Taekwondo Association, so it was difficult for her to win over him.
She felt defeated.
Having seen her frustrated look, Jensen stepped forward and stopped Simon.
"What are you doing?" Simon asked.
Jensen threw him a cold look and said, "Mr, Brown, I'm warning you as a police officer, you'd better
stop harassing Grace. I can't guarantee you won't be detained." "Are you threatening me?" Simon said.
Jensen chuckled. "If that's what you think."
Simon squinted furiously.
Alice was surprised to see Jensen standing up for her.
She thought that he looked cool and admirable at that moment.
Simon looked at Jensen coldly while clenching his fists. "Aren't you afraid of losing your job?"
Jensen narrowed his eyes and took a glimpse of Simon's tightly clenched fists. Lifting his chin slightly,
he said, "Why should I be afraid? I could teach you a lesson even if I lose my job. I'm warning you, stay
away from Grace."
"You're being nosy." Simon clenched his fists, and the creaking sound of his joints could be heard.
"So what?" Jensen was getting on his nerves on purpose.
Alice let out a frown and said, "What's wrong with you, Simon?"
Simon gave no response to her, as if she was a child seeking attention.
Jensen smiled thinly at Simon and said, "Why? Wanna punch me?"
"You deliberately provoked me so that I'll throw my fists at you," Simon said after hesitating for a
moment.
Knowing that Simon had seen through him, Jensen laughed and admitted, "You're right."
"If that happens, you could straight away detain me for assaulting a police officer," Simon exclaimed.
Alice was enlightened. Now she understood Jensen's intention of provoking Simon.
She was frustrated that she didn't realize that earlier.
Jensen nodded and said, "It seems that you're not that dumb. If I were you, I'd back off."
After staring at Jensen for a while, Simon got back behind his wheels and drove off.
The car drove away quickly.
Alice turned to Jensen and said, "Let's hope your warning works. It bothers me that he's been
disturbing my sister."
"You're obviously no match for him." Jensen turned to look at her and said, "He was definitely holding
back. You'd be at a loss if he really fought back."
Alice pursed her lips. She was aware of the truth but that didn't make her less angry. "I just hate the
fact that I'm not good at martial arts. If not I'd have beaten him up."
"Fancy learning some tricks from me?" Jensen looked at her, his eyebrows raised slightly.
Alice replied in a defensive manner, "What do you mean? Why are you being so kind to me?"
"Why not?" he asked.
Alice frowned. "Your kindness would make me question your motives."
"Do you think that I have bad intentions toward you?" Jensen asked her with a smile.
"Well, I've always thought that every action has a motive behind it," Alice answered.
Jensen glanced at her and said, "Grace is my best friend's girlfriend. Of course, I would..."
"Don't mention that b*stard!" Alice immediately broke him off and said, "Don't ever mention him again."
"What's wrong again?" Jensen was taken aback. "Grace had already made up with Heinz. Why
wouldn't you make peace with him? If he becomes your brother-in-law in the future, you—"
"Don't talk about him," Alice interrupted him again. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
Jensen was bewildered by her over- reacting. "What's going on? What happened?"
"Go ask your dear friend," Alice said coldly. "By the way, let me make myself clear, you're not him. I
won't direct my anger to you, and I'm grateful for your help regarding the medical expenses."
Jensen immediately pulled out a card and handed it to her. "This is the card for the medical fees. The
password is 666666."
Alice was still in a blur and asked, "Didn't you say that there are some procedures to be done?"
"Ah yes, you'll have to sign some papers. I came in a rush so I didn't bring it with me. Why don't I bring
you to the police station now so that you can sign it?" Jensen said with a smile on his face.
Alice pinched the card in her hand and nodded, "Sure, if that's not too much trouble."
It was not until they got into the car that Alice realized that something was not quite right.
