The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 514

Upon hearing Leo's words, Matthew felt that it was best to drop the issue. He asked, "Any updates?"

Leo nodded. "The Wood family are still searching for Isaac. Mr. Miles is worried that they'll get desperate. We have about 20 people hiding in the dark on our side."

So, the Wood family was still unaware that Isaac had passed away, huh? Would that mean they might get more extreme as time passed?

Matthew stayed cautious, but the bigger issue was that Sebastian had gone missing. What if the Red Wolves threatened Theo using Sebastian? Theo would have no choice but to write out the contents of Integrative Medicine for the Eastorians.

"I'm going to look for Sebastian, and you guys can just follow along. Just keep your distance and stay out of my way."

Matthew then made his way to Campbell Town. Even though it was called Campbell Town, there weren't a lot of Campbells living here.

Matthew found out that Sebastian lived around here. Since he couldn't get in touch with Sebastian, he hurried over to Sebastian's house in hopes of finding some clues.

After getting out of the car at the town entrance, Matthew approached an old man sitting under a tree for directions.

"Excuse me, sir. I'm Sebastian's friend. Can you show me where's Sebastian's house?"

The old man glanced at Matthew and dejectedly shook his head. "Sebastian's problem is that he's too stubborn and hardheaded. He can't go up against those in power. He "

The old man sighed and stayed quiet.

Matthew was puzzled. It didn't seem like the Red Wolves had captured Sebastian, and there was probably more to the story.

"What exactly is going on with Sebastian, mister?"

The old man looked sympathetic. "It's so unfortunate."

Matthew became even more anxious when the old man didn't explain fully. "What exactly is happening, mister?"

The old man looked around. After making sure no one else was around, he lowered his voice and replied, "You're a friend of Sebastian, so I'll tell you. Just make sure you don't say that I told you if someone asks."

Matthew patted his chest and reassured the old man. "I don't even know your name, mister. Don't worry. I won't tell anyone."

The old man finally felt safe talking about it. "Here's what happened. The mayor's uncle wants to build a large building, and they need to tear down ten houses, including Sebastian's.

"Sebastian refused to relocate, saying there was something important in the house that Theo needed to retrieve when he got back. Only then could the demolition proceed."

An important item? Matthew was taken aback. Could it be Infinity Pill Formula? Had the Red Wolves got their hands on it?

Matthew sported a solemn expression. "What happened next?"

The old man shook his head. "That's when things got serious. The mayor spoke to Sebastian a few times, but they couldn't come to an agreement. In the middle of the night, the mayor showed up with an excavator to tear down Sebastian's house.

"Sebastian was asleep when they dragged him out and beat him badly. His head

was bleeding as they carried him away. His house was gone as well."

Matthew was livid. The mayor was just too outrageous. No wonder he couldn't

reach Sebastian today. Who would've thought Sebastian would run into trouble like this?

"Where did they take Sebastian after tying him up?"

The old man pointed at a villa with

an elegant design. "They took the mayor's residence. You try to talk some sense intonoveldrama

him to

should

Sebastian. There's no po net

against the mayor, who is simply out of his league.

"The mayor spent more than five million dollars on his election campaign, and he's got powerful people backing him up. In contrast, Sebastian is merely a nobody with no money and no connections. Taking on the mayor is a losing battle for Sebastian.

"Hey! Where are you going? I haven't finished..."

Seething with anger, Matthew headed straight to the mayor's elegant-looking villa.
