Chapter 825
Darius snapped back to reality in no time. "Got it. I'll head back right now."
Tony got a bit worked up. "That's my boy! I'm glad that you're coming back. Get going to the airport. I won't take up any more of your time."
After ending the call, Tony turned to Matthew and remarked, "What a great kid. Darius is a grateful person."
Matthew found it absurd. Jay had passed away, so coming back was the least Darius could do as a son. What was so praiseworthy about that?
But compared to Marilyn and Benson, Darius definitely came out looking a lot better.
...
After ending the call, Darius felt a little dazed and was not sure what to do next.
Karina approached Darius and gently kissed him. "Don't be sad. I'm here with you. I'll go back with you."
Darius turned and wrapped his arms around Karina's voluptuous figure. Jay's passing really got to him. People just vanished like that, and a lifetime was over in a flash.
He suddenly felt how unforgiving and fleeting life was. Clinging to Karina, he felt a sense of being alive in the warmth of her soft, full figure. An intense desire and impulse suddenly stirred within him. Without warning, he lifted her face, kissing her hard and passionately.noveldrama
Darius felt like a traveler stranded for days without water and suddenly discovered an oasis. He sought out more and more from Karina, desperately making out with her.
He slid his hand under her shirt, firmly squeezing her chest as if he were kneading dough.
Karina knitted her brows together. Darius had always been gentle-she had never seen him so aggressive before. Her eyes lit up as she tightly embraced him and kept moaning.
At the villa in Lambda City, the neighbors had all gradually left.
The police came and asked about the situation. After learning that Jay's children had been informed, they left. In the end, only Matthew and Tony were left in the yard.
As the sun went down, Matthew's frustration started to build. "You called at noon, and the flight from Eastoria only takes three hours. It's been five hours already. Why hasn't anyone come back?"
Tony kept glancing at the gate. Every time a car drove by, he'd stand up a couple of times. At this point, he was numb about it.
"Darius should have been back by now. He's the grateful type, so why hasn't he returned yet? Could something have happened on his way back?"
Matthew started to feel hungry. He had thrown up all the pasta he had for lunch. At this moment, he was starving and feeling awful.
Upon hearing Tony's words, Matthew shook his head. "If something had happened, they would've called by now. What's taking them so long? How about giving them a call to hurry things up?"
Tony's expression darkened. "I'm not calling them. Jay just passed away. I refuse to believe they won't return tonight."
After an hour, the sun dipped below the horizon, and night took over.
Tony's expression was grim. Matthew thought about getting food, but the thought of the maggot-infested body in the house killed his appetite.
Two hours later, Tony gritted his teeth, and he looked like he was about to snap.
It was midnight, and Matthew glanced at his watch. "It's already been ten hours since your call. Why don't we call the funeral service?"
With a worn-out expression, Tony weakly muttered, "Just wait..."
At 2:00 am, Tony's eyes were bloodshot, and he looked exhausted.
Disappointment and pain filled his face. Every so often, he'd mutter, "Ungrateful brats, heartless wretch! What lowlives!"
The sun rose in the east, glowing in a red hue. The sunlight touched the earth, adding a hint of warmth to the cold morning.
Matthew stood still like a statue as if he couldn't feel the warmth of the sunlight.
With a dead body in the house, Tony grumbled all night, going over the same three words-lowlives, ungrateful, and heartless.
Matthew had heard it so much that he became desensitized. If he weren't worried about Tony, he would have returned home long ago.
Tony looked completely deflated, like a balloon that lost all its air overnight. He stared blankly at the front gate, his eyes empty.
At 2:10 pm, a car pulled up in front of the villa's gate.
What do you think?
