The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 827

Marilyn screamed as she ran out of the villa. Then, she leaned against the wall, throwing up.

Tony coldly remarked, "Can you honestly still call yourself a good daughter, you heartless wretch? Jay's body is filled with maggots, and you didn't even know. How dare you talk about being grateful? I've never heard of such ingratitude in all of history. You'll be remembered in shame for ages."

Marilyn dropped to the ground with a thud, her delicate face filled with fear and horror. All those wriggling maggots sent chills down her spine. She never expected Jay to be reduced to this state.

A wave of regret, guilt, and fear washed over Marilyn, leaving her mind completely blank.

Another car arrived at the door. As the door opened, three people stepped out of the car-Darius, Karina, and Benson. Benson wasn't alone as he had a little dog in his arms.

Feeling emotional, Darius looked at Tony. "Now that we're back, you can rest easy, Uncle Tony. The three of us will take care of everything. You don't need to worry about a thing."

Tony felt touched when he heard Darius say that. Now, this was a man who could take charge.

With a relieved nod, Tony added, "Now that you're here, I feel more at ease. I only came back to my senses today and came here to find Jay. I didn't expect he'd be gone so suddenly. Make arrangements for his body and the burial quickly."noveldrama

Darius nodded and glanced at Benson. "Let's go inside and see what needs to be done for the body."

Benson looked troubled. "My dog's sick, and he's really timid. He's scared of the dead. You handle the dead body, and I'll cover the funeral costs."

Darius narrowed his eyes, his gaze turning sharp. "I don't need the money. Let's go together, and you can help out."

Realizing he couldn't avoid it, Benson patted his dog's head and comforted it, "Bear with it. Just don't open your eyes, and you won't be afraid."

He gently patted the dog a few times, like soothing a kid. Then, he walked into the villa with Darius.

Watching them go in, Tony shook his head a little. "What's the point of raising a son? He's worried about his dog being scared, but he doesn't care about Jay's body. That's his own dad, and yet he values the dog more."

Matthew nonchalantly remarked, "Some people act like people, and some stoop lower than dogs. That's how they're close to their dogs."

Tony sighed. "What a disgrace. At least one of the three young Carlings turned out okay. Darius still has some sense of decency."

Matthew snickered. "Have you set the bar of being decent so low? They're nothing but animals."

Tony frowned. "I think Darius is alright."

Matthew indifferently stated, "Nonsense. They're all the same. Just a bunch of animals!"

Tony furrowed his brows. "D-Don't you think Darius has some sense of responsibility? He's not bad."

Matthew couldn't be bothered to explain. Darius hadn't shed a single tear since he showed up, and there wasn't even a trace of sadness.

Darius didn't show any sadness after Jay's death. Honestly, a dog would be more caring than a son.

Benson walked up to Marilyn. Upon seeing her puke, he scrunched up his brows. "Dad's gone. Just put him in the coffin. Why are you throwing up like this?"

Darius remarked, "Cut it out. Marilyn is still a woman, and some things are meant for men to do. Let's get this done quickly. After we deal with the body, I need to talk to you two about something."

As they were talking, they entered the villa and froze when they saw the scene on the couch. They were so terrified that their hair stood up. A moment later, they screamed and ran outside. Without thinking, they ran over to Marilyn's side and bent over to puke by the wall.

About ten minutes later, Darius and Benson walked over to Tony and exchanged glances. Then, Benson asked, "How did this happen?"

Tony's expression was grim. "I just snapped out of it today, and this is the first time I've set foot in your house in all these years. You're asking me how your father ended up like this? You should be asking for yourselves.

"Jay had three children, but his body has already rotten to the point of having maggots. Why don't you tell me why?"

Benson pursed his lips and turned to Darius. "You've always been Dad's favorite.

It's time for you to show your gratitude and handle it."

Darius nodded. "I'll take care of Dad's body, but all his inheritance is mine- especially Vital Restorative Remedies."
