Warrior 145
RYN
My mind raced a million miles per minute. Can Miro really talk to the King like that?
"I am here for my son." The King stated and Miro narrowed his eyes at him.
"You can't see him. You've been banned until further notice."
"Says who."
"Says me." Miro doubled down.
The King scoffed, "You can't bar me. You don't have the right!"
"I do when I am the only listed medical contact for Theon. I have a say who gets to see him or not!"
The King blinked in surprise. "That's a lie! I am his father!"
"Well then, check the medical records, your Majesty." Miro sneered. "You will see that the son you doted on never considered you family."
A shadow of doubt crossed the King's face, but then it hardened. "You still can't stop me from seeing my boy."
Miro's eyes carried a dangerous glint. "Try and bypass me, Father, and I might not be responsible for what happens next.
"So you're going to fight the King?" Dutton asked. "Are you stupid?"
"Crazy actually." Miro answered without taking his eyes off his father, "Theon is not the only one you messed up in the head, remember?"
The King watched him warily for a moment, probably contemplating his next move. "I'll be back." He threatened, and before leaving, he threw me a scathing glare.
I came to stand by Miro's side as we watched the King and his crew walk out of sight, then I turned to him. "Are you okay?"
Miro was a fuming god, with his chest rising and falling. The muscles in his neck were stretched tight, and his eyes bore a mixture of pain and rage.
I wanted to touch him, but something stopped me. So I settled for calling his name again.
Miro's heavy gaze landed on me and I noticed how it softened when it strayed to my lips again.
Gods! What is going through his mind?
Does he want me? Is he the one my wolf chose?
I don't want to know now. I need to see Theon first. I need to touch him first.
Miro took a step forward and my wolf stirred, daring me to close the distance between us. In that moment, the desire to be whatever Miro needed to be okay overwhelmed me. No matter what it was. I was ready and available if he needed someone to kiss, choke, touch, or fuc-
"My Prince." Healer Kwan came into the hallway, and I breathed a sigh of relief, happy to be removed from my terrible thoughts.
My wolf has been extra lately, and I don't understand why.

Miro and I turned to the Healer, with hope in our eyes.
"It's time. He said, and Miro gave me a nod before going. with the doctor.

In about half an hour, everything was set up and when I was finally allowed in the room. The first thing I saw was an unconscious Theon lying in bed, with a tube in his nose to help him breathe. I raised my hand to my lips, completely heartbroken for him. Theon had been through so much because of me and if he had been poisoned by Chelsea to make him hate me, he would have been strong enough to face that mutant.
Shortly after, Miro was laid in bed and after a while of his blood training into his twin's body, he beckoned to me to come close. I obeyed and sat by the bed, pulling up his blanket and making sure he was comfortable.
"Make sure that witch does not come in here during the process Miro stated weakly, his skin turning clammy white.
"Of course." I answered, "Chelsea will not come in here."RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
"Good." Miro stated tiredly and closed his eyes.
"Can I ask something, though?"
"Shoot."
"Why didn't you do something to Chelsea while she was with you guys? Why easily hurt her?"
Miro swallowed and exhaled deeply. "That's because Chelsea's my wife."

I froze, blinking in surprise, then assuming he was delirious from the transfusion. "You mean Theon's wife?"
Miro shook his head slowly. "Mine. I'm the one who married her."
I blinked in confusion. "How?"
"The day we were supposed to get your cure, Theon knew Chelsea
would try to use the marriage against him, so he made me

I nodded, things starting to make sense. "So as soon as you got the cure, Theon would have had the power to hurt her."
"Yes, and not only that. Since he was higher than me in rank, he also had the power to dissolve our marriage. We had everything planned out to save you and discard her."
"But she had other plans in mind." I concluded.
"Exactly." Miro whispered, his breathing getting slower, as he slowly drifted to sleep.
I stood up from his side and went to sit on a chair opposite the twins.
At some point, the Healer came in to check in on the process and when he was about to leave; I stopped him. "How long is the
process going to take?" I asked the Healer.
He checked his wristwatch. "Less than two hours, give or take."
I nodded in understanding and after the Healer left; I began the process of waiting.
Sometimes, I'd stand and pace around. Other times, I'd sit and stare or watch a nurse come in and monitor the process. During this moment, I received a call from Sadie, and felt terrible for not reaching out at all.
"Hey." I began, "I am so sorry for not contacting you."
"How is he?" Sadie sniffled, and I realized I hated to hear my best friend hurt.
"He will be fine. I promise. Why are you not here, though?"
"We came straight to the hospital as Uncle Theon was fine."
